Indulgences ... do you have one?

Mine is this hand soap from a Scottish company. I first came across it washing my hands in an hotel in Plockton in the Wester Ross on holiday two years ago. It smells divine and I’ve bought it ever since. It’s expensive but the smell of it transports me back there with sweet memories every time I use it. I feel guilty because it’s in a plastic dispenser so have to forgo my bar soap but I do so love it! Hence, it’s my indulgence.

What’s yours?

1Summer, thanks for the Badedas memory! The scent always reminds me of my mum, a really hard working woman, always on the go, but her indulgence was her nightly Badedas bath! Such a comforting bedtime memory for me smile

Ritter Chocolate Bars are stocked in the Range. I bought a few ready for Christmas last month. My favourite is the Rum and Raisin one. I think they were £1.25 each. Used to be stocked by Home Bargains but I haven't seen any there for over a year.

My indulgence is taking out a subscription for Apple TV. I really enjoyed watching the first episode of Slow Horses last year on Sky and started reading all of the books by Mick Herron. The only way I could continue to watch more of the Series was to get a subscription. I've been binge watching this week. I feel justified in that because I cancelled my Amazon Prime subscription in the Summer, mainly because so few of their films have sub-titles, even films made the last few years.
I also like cashmere jumpers and silk scarves.
Like so many others who have posted, it is an indulgence to be able to buy anything within reason, without having to save before hand. Having been a single parent, I know what scrimping and saving is like. This was in the days that if you worked, the only help you had was an extra £1 a week Family Allowance.

My indulgence is scented candles which I burn all day when I am at home. They are not cheap, and I know I am literally burning my money away; but my DH and I both absolutely love the smell. Right now it’s all pine and balsam. Perfect.

I love the daily ritual of showering with lovely products and then Liz Earle face and body care .... and I've always put makeup on (not much ) and love a luxury lipgloss ✨️
