Matching pyjamas by whole family.

Opinions may vary 😀

I don't care about Christmas family pyjamas as we don't tend to see them.

I'm not a fan of themed Christmas trees. We have 5 and they are filled with colour and memories.

Driving home from a Carol concert the other night I passed a house with an enormous blow up dinosaur in the front garden!

There was a recent mumsnet thread about a blow up dinosaur... What goes through people's heads? 😂

I saw that MN thread and was almost tempted! Gds (7) would have adored it!

My husband managed not buying the enormous dinosaur, but our part of Suffolk is low stock, because he is an elf. If any of you believe blow ups are naff (they are), fancy looking a full size Will Ferrel blow up!

I just thought. Maybe having 5 Christmas trees is a bit naff. But it is a rather large house and 2 of the grandchildren have 1 each in their guest rooms

And a naff Christmas stocking filler a few years back.

Merlotgran is that a Cavalier King Charles spaniel? We’ve had two tri-coloured but I yearned for a black & tan or a ruby one. ❤️

I had a yellow car, once, a VW Polo. So a serious German auto but in a jolly colour. I loved it. It had the advantage of being visible in the deep snow unlike the last three boring white cars I’ve had.

I also had a yellow car and really loved the colour. It was a Datsun Cherry and I thought the colour was very safe when transporting my three very young children.

Yes, she’s an absolute sweetie and has wonderful expressions when not amused. 😂

DSiL also has a ruby one. They’re half sisters.

M0nica - thanks for posting Nicky Haslam's "common" list!
I love at least half of it! 🤣

Loved this thread 👏 ❤️ some posts made me chuckle 😃
Adding to the list I going for Christmas Eve boxes, what are they all about???

Chocolatelovinggran Sun 17-Dec-23 07:44:31

Long ago I had a mini in a colour designated " citrus' ie yellowy green. It was known to us as the snotmobile. I'm sure Mr Haslam would approve.

False eyelashes 👀. I have to admit I used to wear them when I was about 18. The phase didn’t last long.

I also had a half wig on an Alice band. When I got sick of it I advertised it for sale. A woman contacted me to buy it. I met up with her at a bus stop for the transaction ! She said she wanted it as a present for her daughter-in-law 😳

travelsafar my husband spotted these in our local garden centre yesterday.
I had to explain the whole concept of them to him, he was completely baffled 😳

I was once at my nephews house - they'd just had a baby. First time I had visited and he showed me the baby's room. Coming down the stairs I saw a picture on the wall 'Live, Laugh, Love' crossed out and the words 'Dont be a C**t' written underneath. I chuckled.

Initially I said out loud to this thread - who cares, each to their own. But Ive read them all and laughed a bit as I sit here wearing my christmas jumper.

Fake nails for me too, swollen lips make me cringe, near naked celebrities, all-over tattoos, entitled celebs, the list is endless which makes me a really grumpy, miserable old granny, but I keep quiet about it all and sit in a corner and mentally criticise. When I point things out to my DH he says "..oh didn't notice". Wish I could be like him.

When my granddaughter was born, my Sons wife 'had a go' at him for not getting her a 'Push Present'

He asked me what it was and I had no idea. Apparently some new mothers believe they have to have this gift for pushing out the baby. Push Present. Who'd have thunk.

Croydon facelifts on anything other than attractive young people

Croydon facelift is a particular hairstyle worn by some women. The hair is pulled back tightly and tied in a bun or ponytail at the back ...
