Matching pyjamas by whole family.

Opinions may vary 😀

May I apply please? I have lots of snobbishness to offer.

I'm certain if we own something it is naff.

Christmas pyjamas for everyone. None for the dogs.

We're enough outside lights to make it seem daylight. Enough blow up Santas, snowmen, and elf to fill a village (or grotto). The number winter pattern Winceyette sheets, throws, towels, and crockery items is daunting.

And one of us added a very large beautiful stag, doe and fawn - seems we weren't common enough prior to the family of deer arriving to the garden.

Alright “shattered” was a bit silly, pathetic even.
But it did express my thoughts on such snobby attitudes.

Sorry, annsixty. I came over all Margot Leadbetter for a moment. 😀

are you prepared for the initiation ceremony,
akin to the old banging out in the print trade ?
we must uphold standards.

Old people with long hair

^Driving home from a Carol concert the other night I passed a house with an enormous blow up dinosaur in the front garden!^

There was a recent mumsnet thread about a blow up dinosaur... What goes through people's heads? 😂

I saw that MN thread and was almost tempted! Gds (7) would have adored it!

NanKate Sat 16-Dec-23 15:58:55

I started this thread as a bit of fun and to cause hilarity such as Joseann’s fun dog looking rather proud of himself/herself!

For anyone who is offended I send my apologies.

I’ve got to an age of 77 when I say what I think and DH’s eyes rise to the ceiling 👀.

I’m with Mr. Bennet (Pride & Predjudice):

“For what do we live, but to make sport for our neighbors, and laugh at them in our turn?”

😁

Got to love Mr Bennett!

OldFrill Sat 16-Dec-23 16:00:37

Turkey Teeth, but I'm possibly envious

NanKate Sat 16-Dec-23 16:01:10

Cartoon - Where does your dinosaur sleep ? Anywhere he likes 😁

I’ve got an odd sense of humour.

Shelflife Sat 16-Dec-23 16:03:10

I also dislike elves on shelves ! What all that about , my DD is very enthusiastic about it for her two children. I keep my thoughts to myself!

OldFrill Sat 16-Dec-23 16:08:31

IKEA

merlotgran Sat 16-Dec-23 16:16:09

My sister-in-law’s dog - who is clearly plotting her revenge! 🤣🤣🤣

Perhaps you would be so kind as to supply full details for my consideration.

Dinahmo Sat 16-Dec-23 16:26:48

Being serious (a bit) I think that anyone flaunting their wealth is naff.

Dinahmo Sat 16-Dec-23 16:27:21

And no I'm not jealous before some of you think that I am.

hollysteers Sat 16-Dec-23 16:29:33

Giant clockfaces on the walls of sitting room. They look as if they belong in a railway station.
Completely grey interiors.

On the other hand, I don’t find anything naff regarding Christmas decorations. Tackiness is allowed this time of year (although I’m not keen personally on wreaths on front doors. I’ll be taking one to the family grave).

foxie48 Sat 16-Dec-23 16:30:00

Two naff dogs.

M0nica Sat 16-Dec-23 16:30:16

pascal30 Grayson Perry has taken it in the way it was meant,

Or their title. Particularly ex-military people who insist on still being addressed as Colonel etc after retirement.

Casdon Sat 16-Dec-23 16:34:51

I just looked up Nicky Haslam. His middle name is actually Ponsonby.

mumski Sat 16-Dec-23 16:37:36

"HUBBY" Just NOOOOO. Beyond cringy.

harold Sat 16-Dec-23 16:49:33

This forum is a real tonic as it's so hilarious. I still use serviette (napkin has other, worse meanings for me) and settee/sofa.

hollysteers Sat 16-Dec-23 16:59:40

Nicky Hallam appears in double denim. That’s naff.
