Hope you are ok today ! I feel just like you ....life is extremely lonely ...only have one daughter who has a son ...and who has not spoken to me for over 16 years ....with no idea why ! I have seen her on FB and sent a friend request ...biggest mistake ! at least before I did that, I was able to look and see her husband, where she lives, and my grandson who is 8 and who I will never see......only have one friend who kindly asks me to Christmas lunch, but other than that am fed up of feeling lonely with no one to speak to (other than online !) ....just go out for a walk, hoping to see others to say hello to, or just people watch if no one speaks ! I dont feel sorry for myself, I know there are others in a much worse position ! Tried joining clubs, activities, groups, outside of FB but for some reason they all seem so 'cliquey and dont welcome strangers ! ...I no longer have a car as having moved back to the UK just prior to lockdown, I was unable to change my licence back to a UK one, and after Brexit cannot drive on my French one (it was originally English ) ...DVLA seems to make it really difficult I have given up now ! I am lucky in that I live on the coast so even if I just walk along looking at the sea and having a coffee at least I am out !!!! hate the long dark evenings .............time to move somewhere where there are other people I think (not quite ready for the care home k(well, not this week ha ha ).....wouldn't mind a commune like the hippies used to have, for old people !
