Do you buy Christmas presents for your pets?

My two dogs have a toy each for Christmas. I fully realise they don't know what time of year it is and its just a bit of fun for me, but they have been my huge and constant support since dh died and to me deserve their new toys.

My dog loves opening presents so she gets some, she doesn't seem to care what's in them, the fun is ripping them open.

Oh yes, always have. Daft I know, but fun.
I also wrap up a small present FROM the dogs and cats to family members. I tell the DGC the dogs saved up their pocket money to buy the gifts or went without a few Bonios. I agree the ripping open provides entertainment.

I always buy a small gifts for dogs and cats in the family. I don’t like leaving them out.

We buy for our DSs dog, he’s part of the family present opening ceremony. This year he’s got a dog treat puzzle to keep him busy.

Well only a stocking, a new toy and a new bed

I get treats for my granddog, as he is staying with us over Christmas. He’s getting turkey flavour (according to the wrapper!) stars, and a fancy new anxiety bed. The latter is because he sleeps in my daughter’s bed at home, and I’d rather he didn’t sleep in her bed here as it is brand new. I’m hoping that if his new bed is comfortable he’ll be happy to sleep in that, even if it is on the new bed.

If they had been exceptionally good they had new rugs and saddle pads.

Yes - his favourite treats were ordered which were on the porch mat when we arrived back from our walk yesterday. I realised what they were when he tried to open it - he smelt them through 2 lots of plastic vacuum packed packaging!!

Ha ha Whitewavemark2! And I don't leave their edible presents wrapped under the tree or the whole pile would be demolished even I'm out if the room.

I have prepared stockings for the dogs of my two DD. I will be baking dog biscuits for them, also. The family think I'm nuts..

Of course we do they are part of the family and the dog loves ripping open the parcels.

I’m on the naff list here because my daft young lab is getting a cheeky elf. It’s a dog toy, so he won’t be able to eat it and end up at the emergency vet. That spaniel has a new dog toy, fluffy soft bear.
Our lovely old rescue boy got so much pleasure from opening a gift we’ve kept up the tradition,

I've just wrapped up a small scarf for my dog, made from the leftovers of a Christmas pocket scarf I've made for me. Just for fun. It's under the tree.
Now wrapped a pack of dog treats but put that up on a high shelf so that he doesn't tear into it in advance.

He doesn't chew nylabone type chews, and doesn't understand toys. Ex-Bucharesti street dog, doesn't really understand play but he loves to unwrap things!

Well I would if she was awake at Christmas. She's tucked up in hibernation until early Spring so always misses the festivities. Not sure what I'd buy for a tortoise though...maybe a prettily wrapped cuttlefish to gnaw on or a little bobble hat to wear on her shell?!

Absolutely. One of my dogs is an excellent unwrapper. It can get a bit manic as she wants to open every gift 🎁

I don’t have my own dog. But I’ve included a pack of dog treats in each of the family Christmas hampers I’ve put together for my AC.

I bought my Grand-dog an Advent calendar and he’s got a bag of chicken flavoured treats for the day (and weeks to come).

Yes anew ball each for the four cats two of which are 8 month old kittens who are mad! Daughter has bought lots of foodie treats including something special for Christmas dinner

No I've given up on dog presents. Neither of them play with toys and one is on a very strict diet due to liver problems. Just lots of love and cuddles.
