What to do when a friend has pronounced a word wrongly for a long time? Ignore it? Use it in conversation?
I feel bad for not "correcting" her a long time ago. As a friend corrected my pronunciation of another word and I was grateful. Saved me looking silly.
A friend of my DD pronounced prosciutto as prossquitto. Which of course we use here all the time now...friend is in the distant past so we are not offending her.
Not that we buy Italian ham often!! So don't need the correct way.
