Good Morning Everyone ,
Its dark with a left half moon , so clear sky at the moment , but signs of wetness on the ground.
If the forecasts are right low temps in UK , but not as low as some places elsewhere .
Today usual bus to Bicester , yesterday I was fortunate to get both of the two regular bus drivers who did the service prior to change ,and apart from wishing them a happy new year ,also mentioned my own health situ to them.
Take Care,
Mick

Happy Birthday Kittylester, have a lovely day.

Marydoll no, that wasn’t me who has been in hospital.

I’m so sad to hear that Baggs daughter is very poorly. Thinking of your family.

Cornergran your son is quite right. Wiltshire is very wet indeed.

A better morning in West Oxfordshire after a deluge of rain last night.
My thoughts are with you Baggs there are no words that I can offer, but I am thinking of you.

Wishing you a very happy birthday Kittylester I hope you have a lovely day.

Good morning Mick and all,

Happy birthday Kitty 🎉🎂🍾. Enjoy your day.

I haven’t read all the posts yet, but wish you all a good day.

Good morning Mick and all from misty Lancashire, currently 3°C.

Yesterday was a good day. No wind or rain and my bruises are fading. I had a lovely leisurely stroll around the Marina, there was a distinct nip in the air and the sun peeped out.

Hoping today is kind to us all, thinking of those going through bad or sad times 🌹

Good morning everyone from a dull grey Northampton. Still getting this dratted neuralgia behind my ear, and waiting for the paracetamol to take effect. I shall be ringing the surgery next week, it has never lasted this long before, usually a few hours, but this time it's 5 days.

Dance classes started again yesterday; it was good to get back into the routine, and we learned new steps and dances. Took my mind off the pain for a while. Read more of my book when I got home, and nearly fell asleep.

Just checked my premium bonds and have won £100 this month, the first win for about a year! It gets re-invested into my holding.

My usual Friday trip on the bus to the shops today. Am having to be careful what I get, as cannot use the big garage freezer, which I am gradually emptying, so no batch cooking for a while. And my small kitchen freezer is full!

So sorry to read the news about Baggs' DD yesterday.

Happy birthday 🎂 kitty!

grandMattie, lovely cakes! Coffee is my favourite, but no walnuts thank you, as I do not like nuts! And coffee creams are my favourite chocolates.

Have a good Friday everyone.

I hope you have 🍰 cake

Good morning Mick and everyone from grey Carlisle. It's raining on and off. I had to go out in it, to pop into town on a brief errand. Now it looks like it will be an indoor day with a bit of cleaning, maybe the ironing and definitely some reading.

My visit to the doc yesterday resulted in an MRI scan being organised to look for kidney stones too small to show up on an ultrasound. I doubt there'll be any.\

Happy birthday kitty, I hope the sun shines for you!

So sorry to see your news yesterday Baggs, I hope something can be done for your daughter.

And for you Marydoll, I can't imagine what it's like to live with that level of pain.

The best possible day to you all. And no more rain!

Good Morning all , I am waiting for the man to service the heating , just as well it’s dry and still here !
Yesterday I got two washes half dry outdoors , I finished it off on the clothes horse indoors
Heating and hot water is turned off , I hope he comes on time ! Meanwhile I’ll retire to the front bedroom with my crochet
Thinking of Bags and all in pain or bother 🕯️🕯️

Good morning all from a drying North Leicestershire.

Roofers here today and I have to nip to the butcher's.

Today is my 75th birthday - not sure how that happened. It is also J52's.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Happy Birthday Kitty. Hope you have a great day.
Where does time go? xx

Happy Birthday wishes to kitty and J52 🎂🎂

Thank you for all the kind words and thoughts re BTDD. I could not concentrate on anything yesterday.
Extra pain and mobility issues caused by the spinal cord damage are being dealt with in hospital. A multidisciplinary team will meet early next week to decide what to do next.
Minibaggs jumped on an intercity bus yesterday and had a good visit with her sister ❤️.
Not sure when is the best time for me to visit. I'll check with DD's partner. If I was nearer I'd go every day.

ginny, it was lovely to read about your grandson's BAHA band 💫

Good morning, from Glasgow. The sun is shining for a change.

No plans but will happily spend some time in the garden at last.

Baggs I looked back at yesterday’s GM thread to find your post about your darling girl. Sincerely hope medics have a solution to ease her situation. Being on this emotional roller coaster is so hard to bear. My thoughts are with you.
Birthday greetings Kitty You will be a year ahead of me as of next month. Enjoy your special day. 🎂

Hopefully a kind day is ahead for all especially those going through difficult times.

kittylester Fri 05-Jan-24 12:17:18

Baggs, I have just caught up with news of your daughter. I am thinking of you and sending a gentle hug.

Oopsadaisy1 Fri 05-Jan-24 13:34:40

Very very late today, but maybe I’ve just squeezed in.
Happy birthday Kitty 💐🎉🎂
My thoughts are with Baggs and her family .
MrOops has braved the floods to go to an appointment, whilst MissOops braved the floods to come here to clean the inside of her car, unfortunately when she went to leave the car wouldn’t start, it’s under the carport nose in, so my car won’t reach hers so that I can attach my jump leads to it, , MrOops leads are longer so when he gets back he will hopefully get it to start, meanwhile we’ve attached it to a charger to see if that helps.
Anyway, MissOops has now gone to bed as she was up all night with the dog who was ill, said dog is now bouncing around the garden chasing pheasants ( they insist on coming back when her back is turned) and rabbits who I think are in the bamboo at the end of the garden. She’s covered in mud so that will go down well in the cleaned car.
Hope everyone is having as good a day as they can and that the sun is shining where you are, we need some dry weather we have lakes instead of fields around here, one ‘ lake ‘ has seagulls on it! We don’t usually get them so far away from the coast.
