Where’s our Michael this morning? I hope he’s well
It’s blooming minus 2 today my heating is well high here on the east coast of Fife.
I’ll be doing lots of tidying up today, my wardrobe, my drawers and my kitchen cupboards I’m even going to make mushroom soup. All with the help of my carer

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
I enjoyed a long walk in the sand dunes at the bottom of the road yesterday in the sun. Wellies needed as the slacks very wet and deep in parts. Sat on a very high dune overlooking the sea and listened to Classic FM.

I might go out to my favourite park for a stroll and a bite to eat, but really should get on with things here. We’ll see.

We do not have any frost here today, but it is grey, cold and dismal looking. At least it’s dry.

Had a busy day yesterday dismantling the trees and putting everything away. It always looks bare when they come down, but we’ve got the lamps back out so they give a soft glow in the evening.

No plans for today, will probably just potter.

Good morning from Glasgow. A very chilly but sunny morning with a heavy frost sparkling in the sunshine. A much prettier outlook from gloomy skies and heavy rain. Another day wrap up to spend some time in the garden, I may even have an alfresco coffee break, simple pleasures.

All admin, phone calls etc. will be put off until tomorrow as I plan to have a day doing whatever I feel like. I have written a list of tasks which are too risky for me to do as a few involve ladders and require two people type tasks. It’s so frustrating not being able to do such small things like these myself now so I have the number of a local handyman to call tomorrow. Job done and no fear of me fracturing anymore bones. 😄

Hopefully a pleasant, less worrisome day is ahead for all.

Good morning from a cold, wet Durham. I’m thinking about Spring cleaning, but am I a bit premature? I have admin to catch up on, then I should get some fresh air, (if it stops raining) even if it’s just picking up leaves and windfall apples in the garden.

Good morning from a bright W Kent. Enjoyed a visit from DD2 yesterday, managed a walk and did the ironing so result all round!
Today just quiet with a chat to DB and lamb for Sunday lunch.

Good morning Mick and everyone from a cloudless Carlisle where it is -1°C and frosty. Overnight, a spider has been very busy on my front garden tree and decorated it with frosted white strands including a large beautiful web.
Yesterday, I got up to find fog drifting in, the first fog I've ever seen here. When I went out at dawn to drive to Sainsbury's I found it was also frosty so had to sort the car out before going.
I don't like driving in frost and fog but wasn't going to deprive myself of fresh veggies and the weekend paper.
Today, I plan a walk but I'll wait to see if the frost lifts as I don't want to risk icy paths. Apart from that it will probably be a day of reading and pottering at this and that. Though the state of the freezer is still making me feel a tad guilty. Must defrost the thing this week, I really must!

Good morning from a foggy Boggy Brae. I'm hoping the tide will take the fog with it as it ebbs.

Minibaggs arrived "very excited" to be back in Scotland. She was born in Oxford but feels Scottish to her core because she grew up here. Her sisters were born in Scotland but grew up in Oxfordshire.

When I said to BTDD that I hoped she had had a reasonable day, her reply broke my heart. She said it had not been too bad except for the "inconvenience" of only half of her body working properly.

Good morning from N Bucks.
All this talk of sunshine and dry weather makes me wonder why it is grey and misty and we clearly had rain in the night!
Zorsted after my second London theatre trip in 3 days. But it was worth it, the Barbican was packed ( apparently the show had sold out within 48 hours of booking opening) and I could see why. It was amazing!
We had lunch first in the Clerkenwell Rd then walked to the theatre - I feel the Barbican should be renamed The Labyrinth though! So many entrances and exits, stairs and levels and mezzanines ! By the time I got home I had clocked up over 13500 steps (and I suspect most of them there!)
Today should be quiet but SIL1 and GS are looking in for brunch en route to Luton where GS is playing for “the Blues” (Birmingham City Under 11’s) so I had better tidy up and pop the Hoover round before getting the bacon and sausage baps ready.

Good chats yesterday with both children, my daughter feels fine now after her Covid episode, son is getting his thermals ready for work this week.
No plans today, turkey for dinner with parsnips and cavalo nero from the garden, shop bought sprouts, I’ve never had success growing them.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a grey, cold South Yorkshire. No rain in the forecast though. Not sure what is on the cards today but I doubt much of it will be outside! I did get a short walk in yesterday afternoon. I will probably do some cooking for the freezer and then set to with the knitting again.

Good morning from an overcast Oxfordshire where it’s -2, we had a lovely sunny day yesterday, hopefully the sun will peep out.
An ‘empty’ today, I might do a bit of my Christmas jigsaw, or read a book or some sewing, we shall see. I must do a shopping list for delivery latr this week.
The dog will be here this afternoon so we will have a walk, already the hyacinths and daffodils are popping their heads up on the track to the playing field, the fallen trees have been removed so it’s safe to walk there now, very squelchy underfoot though.

Good morning from my bit of South Lanarkshire, -4 here at the moment but if we have clear blue skies like yesterday it will be okay.

Giffnock DD and family were staying here on Friday night so she could do her 100th Park run which was on the lovely outskirts of our town. It also would have been the 14th birthday of their first baby who was ‘born sleeping’ and afterwards I joined them on the annual walk they do to the beautiful Falls of Clyde which Wordsworth called ‘The majestic daughter’ of the river. DD starting running to help her cope so it was all good and it’s lovely how DGC acknowledge Grace as their big sister.

Really nice picture of the beach yesterday baubles as is yours today Ashcombe. I meant to say last week Mizuna, how much I loved that picture of your grandson, he must be much bigger now, not so easy to toss in the air!
