and come and finish off all the half eaten boxes of chocolates and sweets.

There are Matchsticks, Thorntons, Hotel Chocolate Gingerbread chocolates, jelly babies, Elizabeth Shaw mints, sour kittens and a trifle bowl full of mixed Heroes type things.

I have managed to keep my weight steady over the Christmas period but.......

We had 4 bottles of Prosecco and a tin of Celebrations left over. Hidden away in the attic for Easter. 🤭 Waste not want not.

Can you give them to a food bank. I'm sure someone would love a treat. And you will not put on weight!
And ask people to give you plants or flowers not year

Twopence

Just the caramels left now in the bottom of a large container of Roses. Looking for someone who can eat them.

I’m afraid I’m a chocoholic and I’ve just polusheoff a small box of chocolat from the most famous chocolat shop in the world.

I didn't buy many sweeties this year to make sure I didn't eat too many smile
Best of luck with that.

Smurf52, if I had any, you could have them (that's not a lot of use, but I am sorry that you are in that position). flowers

Grandmadinosaur

I have 3 boxes needing eating up too 😕

When my DH was resident in the local Care Home, I took all my excess chocolates and biscuits there, where they were warmly welcomed. This year I have taken them to the weekly "Tea in (room) Two" event in the village = an opportunity to have a blether over coffee, tea and mostly home made Scones and cakes. I thought they were all gone by the end of the event but saw that the "Tea Ladies" had hidden half of them for this week.

I’ve a sister who volunteers in our local food bank so mine went there. Too much of a temptation.
If I kept them I’d just eat them and I really don’t want to put the lost weight back on.

Anything you’ve got I’ll have. I’m losing weight with a terminal lung disease so all contributions welcome!

We’ve got an unopened tin of Heroes and half a pack of Matchmakers left from Christmas. I’m not fussed about chocolate and MrJ will have a couple of sweets once a week maybe. They might be finished by Easter.

Tish Sun 21-Jan-24 19:41:29

Heroes and jelly babies for me please.🙏🏻

rubysong Sun 21-Jan-24 18:29:54

I've met some fierce cats in my time but I don't think I've ever come across sour kittens! What are they? (We live a very quiet life here.)

Livey Sun 21-Jan-24 16:54:11

Pick me up on the way please !

Gwenisgreat Sun 21-Jan-24 15:37:46

Sarahr Sun 21-Jan-24 15:14:05

silverlining48 Sun 21-Jan-24 14:47:12

With you there granny bags and damask. There is a need to finish a small Christmas cake before I can seriously consider starting mine. Once i have hoovered it all up then I begin.
Tea and cake later, it’s dh birthday. Celebrate 🥳

Grannybags

I’ve somehow managed to put on more weight after Christmas than over the festive period!

Such hard work finishing off all the chocs and cake so I can start my diet…😂

Me too! On both counts! 😂😂

Oh what self control you have
To have just one a day

Exactly what I was thinking!
There’d be no chance of them lasting for any length of time here!

JdotJ Sun 21-Jan-24 14:04:06

Heavenly

CyberNan Sun 21-Jan-24 13:55:04

Well done you for keeping your weight steady through Christmas. With that amount of temptation I would have taken a nose dive well before New Year smile

Titian1948 Sun 21-Jan-24 13:38:34

Put them on your local Freegle or Trashnothing, and they'll go to a happy home.

Smurf52 Sun 21-Jan-24 13:29:07

Turkish delight and anything else please 😀
