This was a terrible injustice, NanKate and I'm glad that the victim felt strong enough to push back. I have no respect for her cowardly colleagues.

She has suffered greatly from colleagues calling her transphobic as she said transwomen should not be allowed in women's prisons.
She was ill and had PTSD after the OU allowed comments to be put on their website insulting to her.
I'm glad she has won her case. This hounding of women who voice their opinions has to stop.

Thank you for posting this, I did a bit of research on Jo Phoenix as a result.
I read her words, not reports and it is fascinating.
I was beginning to wonder if I was actually “trans phobic” because of all the rhetoric, but she demonstrates, with cold facts, that self-identification will be abused and women are in danger.
It’s frightening how we are all afraid to just call caution for fear of reprisals. You could call it “the emperor’s new clothes gone mad” if it wasn’t so important. I don’t know if we will wake up or this madness will continue.
To be clear, there have always been a small number of people who have profound issues with their “gender” and they should be supported as they have been. They are not helped by the new vogue for inclusivity and diversity which is nothing of the kind. Like the people in the fairytale, we all seem afraid to be the one to say “ this isn’t right”
Well done her for saying it. I just hope if enough people do we might start to see Stonewall for what it is,

Mogsmaw I do not believe that I am transphobic but the National branch of my women’s Institute treat me as if I am.

I questioned the validity of them allowing transwomen into the Women’s Institute, especially as some of our members have been in abusive relationships and feel that the WI is a safe haven. They told me categorically that transwomen are women, even if they have not transitioned medically! I couldn’t believe what they were saying. It is definitely the ‘Emperor’s new clothes’ with them. When I complained to my County WI they told me they weren’t allowed to discuss the topic with me and anyone who wrote on this topic had their correspondence redirected to National.

I’m very grateful I gave grandsons and not granddaughters because women’s sport is being infiltrated by transwomen and that is so unfair.

My late cousin was a transwoman and I had a perfectly good relationship with her.

The majority of transwomen want to get on with their new lives peacefully and that is as it should be.

I read an article in the Spectator. The writer asked if we remembered the expression “it’s a free country” I do remember saying that in my younger days, but we are no longer allowed to say some things. Now ofcourse we would not ever use racist language or remark about a person’s weight as it is inappropriate.. The problem is that many groups have gone over the top particularly in relation to trans language. I object to trans males using women’s changing rooms and using female toilets. I do not like some trans people who are determined to compete in athletics and sport as females. Susanne Moore wrote an article about the subject that I read yesterday and she complained about aggression shown by some men trans people. I can recall we could ask where people with an unknown accent where they came from. I was often asked if I came from Australia and I loved to reply in a Scouse accent as I am proud to be a Liverpudlian but I love Australia too. Tomorrow is Australia Day and is a public holiday there. My daughter always takes a plate of lamingtons to work to share with other workers. However, it is now non U to ask people where they come from however innocently they are asked. The Spectator article said that wokeism is an effort to curb freedom of speech and to kill adverse opinions. The jury is out about this.but I would defend and agree with JK Rowling who says there are two sexes men and women. Gender ID is what Trans people believe. I would never intentionally hurt anyone by using language they find uncomfortable but I still know I am a woman and men are males.

Helen Joyce is another excellent and very knowledgeable writer on these topics. Watch some of her interviews. women need to wake up to what is happening especially to our children, some of this stuff is really frightening.

Sharon Davies is another supporter of women’s and girls’ rights. I read her sensible comments on Twitter now X every day and support her by ticking in agreement to her comments.
