AskAlice, these are my pegboards, much more expensive than ikea but if I ever move they will come with me. I cut some dowels myself, made them longer so that the bigger cones for an overlocker will stay on. I have some of the shelves too, very useful. I have a large pegboard on either side of the window

plus I had one in their sale that has 2 wide shelves above my desk, I keep files on that, sewing machine oils, a small clock (because I get carried away) radio etc. I turned the ordinary old fashioned heavy computer desk on its side and cut the feet off and I removed the keyboard tray. Nice to sit at for sewing now, the right height
