I should like to say thank you all for the kind and sympathetic comments on my situation.
I can assure you it is an absolute necessity at the moment.
It is personal, complicated and truly heartbreaking so I have to cope for the time being.
Hopefully after Tuesday the plans for them will become clearer but we are taxed with getting them settled in here and feeling safe and happy.
The older one is very autistic and his brain is wired so differently that that is not easy but he is ok with us.
Best wishes to all with problems and health concerns.

What a beautiful kitten SueD! We had one just like that but sadly we lost him at about 18 months. I think I saw Jim once a couple of years later - perhaps he got lost? I still miss our last cat but it’s not the right time for another.
DD and family have been up for a couple of days. DGD isn’t 2 weeks yet but today’s she was awake much more and looking at us. 😍😍
DGS is still a baby himself (17 1/2 months) so getting lots of reassuring fuss.
DS and his family came over, DGC invited themselves for a sleepover and chaos ensued! As someone else said, we are blessed.

We're not long home from a great family get together for DS3's 40th birthday. It was a big surprise for him, he didn't have a clue that his lovely girlfriend had arranged it with us, he was quite overwhelmed when they arrived home this afternoon to find his house full... both sets of parents, aunts, uncle and cousins, brothers and families, right down to my sister's baby granddaughter and my brother's dog!
It did my heart good to see everyone, we have DGD here now for a sleepover. She is languishing in the bath with some of my bath bombs and ABBA music on her phone!
I'm in her bedroom putting her pjs on the radiator and a hot water bottle in her bed, just staying near in case she needs me, but she's quite independent at 12. She still likes to sleep on the top bunk.
Tomorrow we will all meet up again at The Wee Boy's birthday party.
I'm counting my blessings, as my dear Mum would say.

Good evening Kitcheners. It’s been quite a good day. Tum is behaving, weather was cold and dry and went for a walk. Had some lovely chestnut mushrooms on toast for tea. Very tired now so must love you and leave you. Tomorrow I need to tidy my wardrobe, I tend to drop stuff anywhere when I’m below par, and now I can’t find anything! Have a peaceful night, TOYA x

Another grey day here, washing drying indoors, my daughter with grandson collected all her packages which have been delivered here all week, like Christmas again!nice spent an hour on the phone sorting the hijacking of my dormant Netflix account, most bizarre.
My glass of white is done, so a shandy in a minute with the chicken, cauliflower and spinach curry in the slow cooker.

Brook Sangria is fabulous when on holiday. I'm listening to jazz which always makes me feel like a grown up. And watching Mission Impossible which reminds me of my youth. I hope you are enjoying the end of your holiday and making the most of sunshine and warmth

Hello kitchen people. A lot of us seem to be busy today.
I cleaned the house from top to bottom and OH hoovered. He’s watching rugby now so I made a chocolate sour cream cake. I’m also cooking dinner - just fish fingers and chips.

Afternoon kitcheners. The housework is done, the washings are done, the food shopping is done. I also spent a bit of time outdoors clearing up branches and twigs from next door, so the pavements and the drains are clear. My halo is shining. Charliegirl yes, he’s our new cat. It’s taken us almost 15 months since we lost our last cat but now he’s here, it’s like we’ve always had him. I’d forgotten what trouble kittens are, though! 🤣

My younger dd went back to Yorkshire today and we looked after GS this afternoon. His mum and sister also came after school and had their tea here, following which the house looked like a tornado had been through it and I had a thumping headache!

What a shock to the system, ann, hope the lodgers are not with you for too long. Some basic ground rules may be necessary, I suspect, but so hard if the family is dealing with upset and sadness. Will be thinking of you.

A rather lazy day, awaiting yet another delivery for my daughter, I’m glad this is only for a few days, however, as MrJ was in it doesn’t excuse my total slobbishness!
