I agree. I have no idea what the AI means. Artificial Intelligence?! Surely there can’t be any more permutations to add?

Don't bank on it grin.

That "+" is just begging for another variation!

Mx is a title than is non-gendered.

but I was thinking an alternative to 'they', not a title.

rarely needs to be spoken, but i presume like mux, cf Ms is pronounced muz, roughly.
some women, who are not the alphabetties, but prefer the Mx title on envelopes for safety, as it does not alert to a female resident.
some people trawl about communal letterboxes, looking for addresses that seem to have a lone female resident.

Is AI Asexual and Intersex?

I can't imagine discussing my sex life (or lack of it) with my grandparents, and I assume that when a baby is born with genitals that don't fit either male or female there will be some discussion in the family. It's probably fairly unusual for those who are questioning to get their grandparents involved, too.

When it comes to sexuality, then I think the best advice is to simply accept their partners, regardless of whether they are same sex or not.

You seem fairly clued up though - all those initials grin. If you keep researching as you have clearly been doing, you won't go far wrong.

🙄 what next?

Hello my grandchild said it stands for asexual and intersex smile

This isn't something I've had experience, so can't offer much advice Nellie. I'd hope that I would try to accept them as they are rather than how I would want them.
In terms of pronouns, what MissInterpreted says makes sense, though I wish the LGBT community could come up with an alternative to 'they' as it can be confusing. Ms was a good compromise for women who didn't want to be Miss or Mrs, but I can't think of one for people who don't want he or she.

The only thing I can’t stand is the alphabet title if it get any longer we ll soon have all 26 letter with identifying as a zebra for the last one 🤷🏼‍♂️

Nellieknits1944 Thu 01-Feb-24 16:57:17

Thanks very much MissInterpreted! I shall ask 😁

MissInterpreted Thu 01-Feb-24 16:18:42

Just accept them for who they are. They're still the same person you've always known. Perhaps ask them how they want to be addressed?

Hello everybody!
I just want to know how people have handled their LGBTQAI+ children/grandchildren. I used to be very closed minded with these things but have since learned some new things and am ashamed of my previous stance on the community sad. Has anyone got any useful tips on the lgbt in general and also they/them pronouns smile
