iv just found a book l bought year ago about 'seaside holidays' thats full of vintage of nostalga seaside picture. brought it all back to me, lovely summer days ( seems as if our holidays were forever sunny )
we always went to Weston Supermare in a caravan or Margate into B&Bs.
We had the odd trip to Blackpool, and lm sad to think now that mom and dad didnt actual go any where else for their holiday there whole life. she had a fear of air flights and refused point blank to go to Spain when the package tours arrived.
l loved the caravan hols though. They were those really old fashion caravans that had no toilet or shower, just the shower blocks on site,
Pull out beds after the foldout table was put away at night. l remember it had a pull out screen to separate the one half the caravan from the parents pull out bed. The caravans were so small and we fell over each other just trying to make the bed up before we left to go see the on side shows.
It felt like we were in a ;Carry on Film[ lol.
l remember l always wanted to go campng but mom wouldnt allow it,
Life seem so carefree and simpler back then, but it must have been a struggle to save up just to have an annual holiday.
To Complain or Not To Complain?
Do people still stamp their feet in anger?
