Good Morning Everyone,
Dark and maybe cloudy outside also air feels mild here in brackley .
Later today I must submit my day trips and breaks to the nursing team at Churchill in Oxford so appointments can be arranged around them .
Usual day for me with bus trip, out to Bicester , it makes my day and my self happy with the opportunity to get out.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning Mick and others from Polmont where it's currently 10° and wet. It was very windy in the night..It's good for you to get out! Enjoy all your trips ahead.
Yesterday I ended up feeling rather unwell and did nothing in the afternoon. Lots of self care.
Today is early childcare day. My stomach pains are still there but receding. There will be playing with cars on the agenda, drawing and lots of eating by the boys. Nursery drop off and pick up too. Have a good day all

Good morning from Bristol. Overcast, but dry, I think. Relatively warmer.
Quiet day again, not much after church yesterday. I’m finishing almost a week’s worth of onion soup. Delicious but a bit repetitive after the third or fourth day.
In the late afternoon, I decided to go to DD’s evening service in town. The church also has one of the Bristol Light Show installations. The service was quite odd; reflective and with discussions, finishing with prayers. We trooped off to see the installation (the service took place in a side room) then came back and talked about it. As I said, quite different. Not my cup of tea. DD was surprised to see me, the congregation welcoming (being the vicar’s mum helps!)
Today, toddler group then the last marmalading for the year, I think.
Take care, be kind to yourselves. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from a breezy Torbay.

What a good idea to inform your nursing team about your unavailable dates, Mick. Saves everyone's time.

I hope you continue to feel better, Grandmabatty, especially with your grandsons to care for.

I'm sorting out my (ridiculous amount of!) costume jewellery to see if a friend from Toads can make use of it in his jewellery making hobby or sell any of it as he regularly trades at craft fairs. I'm happy to see him benefit as he’s a good hearted chap.

Hope this is the start of a good week for everyone. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩.

Good morning, dull and windy today in s somerset

I had a lovely relaxing zen day yesterday, Started making a really nice hoodie, slowly and carefully with plenty of breaks.

Archers, call the midwife and a cosy fire lit later in the evening

Meanwhile a dd was running 70k from Brecon to Cardiff, I was tracking progress and was so glad when she finished. She is in very good spirits

Craft group today and basic tidying in the house, got to keep on top of it

Have a good day

Grandmabatty Mon 05-Feb-24 06:06:06

Glad to see you back Ash. I missed you yesterday

Good morning from Cornwall where it's cloudy and breezy and mild. A sweet day yesterday. My eight-year-old granddaughter announced that she'd like to live in a big house with three floors with me so that we could have a different room for all the different things we do. I could have wept.

Then to church for a farewell service for our young vicar and her family, and she brought communion to my seat as I couldn't queue on my crutches. I didn't even know she'd seen me there and was touched by that too. So quite a sniffly day really. A lavish cream tea followed the service. We have lots of young people in our congregation and I met a man about to qualify as an anaesthetist. Ten years since he started his medical training, yikes.

Today I'm off to hospital to see the volunteering team, to try and trace my DBS form which has gone awol. Then I'll pop to M&S to buy avocadoes.

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. I can hear the wind whistling outside! I be won’t be getting up quite yet. Probably around 8 am.
I bought a beautiful mini teacup and saucer yesterday from an Antique Fair. We might go to more of these things,
Usual Monday Waitrose shop plus quite a bit of admin has popped up. I have a WI committee meeting on Wednesday so will need to prepare. Oh, I have to collect a present for my brother whose birthday is this month. He lives in Australia so I have to allow a fair bit of time for delivery. He’s just got the date through for his major heart operation which will be next week. He’s having to go to Sydney for it so I’ll send it c/o my sister who lives there.
Have a good day everyone. I’m thinking of Urms and others with worries and difficulties.

Good morning from Shropshire.Sounds windy out there.

We are both feeling tired after a busy weekend with the children.

We are off to Cheshire to see my mum today. The usual lunch out and then she wants to go shopping.

You are very organised Mick and good that your team will arrange your appointments round your outings.

I hope you feel better as the day goes on Grandmabatty.Your comment about lots of eating made me laugh.DGD is permanently hungry.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Good morning from Sefton. No idea what it's doing out there & I am definitely not getting up to have a look. It doesn't sound wet or windy.
Singing group this morning, cake baking this afternoon, WI this evening. A full day.
Take care all.

Pantglas2 Mon 05-Feb-24 07:10:01

A very windy good morning from me 💨 - I need to put the recycling out but don’t want to be trotting after it down the street in my dressing gown…🫣

What a lovely word ‘marmalading’ is grandMattie - tempting and comforting at the same time! Wish I was closer so I could purchase a few 🫙 instead of thinking of making my own!

Off to Conwy for MrPGs scripts later then coffee and..ahem…a 🍰 might slip onto the tray, accidentally of course…😇

Hopes for a good day everyone x

Good morning from Oxfordshire, not sure what is happening weather wise, but the birds are singing, if I get up the dog will want to go out and it’s too early for that.

Shopping delivery later, no cleaning as we’ve just come home after a week away and I cleaned before we went. Just ironing to do and dog walks.

Have a good day everyone, my thoughts are with those who are having a tough time.

Good morning everyone from a still dark and dry Northampton. High winds forecast this morning.

No yoga this morning as I have a dental appointment, just a check up. May go for coffee afterwards at the village bakery; they have a little coffee shop, but I must hasten past the large display of cakes and buns for sale....

A tidy up day indoors today and must wield the duster and Shark in the sitting room; I have a coffee morning here on Wednesday and don't want to look a slattern; everyone else's houses seem to look like show homes.

A Bolognese sauce to make for dinner tonight after an afternoon of reading. Yesterday afternoon I sat and watched a recorded film 'The Secret Garden'; I loved the book as a child, and was not disappointed.

Have a good Monday everyone.

Good morning from south Glos, I can hear the wind blowing but I’m not getting up to look outside. The dog has joined me on the bed because DH has been crashing around getting ready to leave for a hospital appointment 🙄
I’ve been awake since 2am for no apparent reason so it’s going to be a very long day today.
I have finished my sorting out, 4 black bags for charity, everything is tidy so I am rather pleased with myself. I suspect I have completely overdone it so that’s why I had a bad night? I felt most peculiar yesterday afternoon and evening 😵‍💫
A quiet day today will be good.
Take care 🌹

cornergran Mon 05-Feb-24 07:30:58

Morning Mick, morning All. Our corner of Somerset looks dry and draughty.

Read for most of yesterday, must galvanise myself into action today. Or try to. Soup to make, some tidying to do, general faffing really. Mr C has a dental appointment late afternoon, I’ll drive as parking there is dire. Expecting a call from our goddaughter who is in a major tizz. The day will be filled and then I’ll wonder what I’ve done.

Hope you feel better as the day goes on grandmab and Monday is kind to us all.

Bellasnana Mon 05-Feb-24 07:38:31

Good morning from Malta where our unseasonably warm weather continues. A high of 18°C is forecast.

I’m happy to be back with my two little treasures today after the weekend.

Slept in my own room last night after two weeks of camping in the spare room due to decorating. It felt strange!

More sorting and chucking out to be done when I get home later but for now these two will keep me busy.

Wishing you all a good day and a happy week.☀️

kittylester Mon 05-Feb-24 07:40:17

Good morning all from a blowy North Leicestershire.

I need to change the bed this morning - I'm a bit out of routine. Later, we have the 2nd session of a zoomed Carer Learning session. The first session went well but the participants were very quiet - hope we can get them a bit more involved this week.

This afternoon, we have to nip to town.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Greyduster Mon 05-Feb-24 07:47:07

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where it is very mild. I had visits from both my offspring yesterday; DS called in for a quick cup of coffee on his way home from an overnight stay with his cousin, then DD and the menfolk came over for a roast chicken dinner later. GS prepped all the veg for me. I have shown him the quick way to top and tail green beans but he still does them one at a time🙄! After they’d gone home last night I suddenly felt very tired. Nothing much planned today other than giving the kitchen cabinets a wipe down, and a stroll if it stays dry.
Have the best day you can folks.

Pittcity Mon 05-Feb-24 07:47:11

Good morning from sunny Colchester. It's going to be a mild, dry day.
I've washed one of DH's winter jackets and it's ready to go on the line as the weather is ideal for drying.
This and that today with chicken pasta bake for tea.
Love to all 🦩 x

Georgesgran Mon 05-Feb-24 07:50:31

Good morning from Durham. A beautiful pink dawn, but it’s still very windy.
I appear to have a cold, judging by the sneezing and nose wiping. Coffee this morning with a friend, a bit of shopping and I must get a newspaper, so I can wrap up breakables to donate, then more cleaning and decluttering. I’d like to finish the dining room today.
Best wishes to all. X

Good morning ever from Tenerife, lovely weather here that I’ll miss when we get home
If only you could have that house for your DGD mizuna, what a lovely thing for her to say
It’s our last day here today so we’ve a few things to do and a special place to go back to for lunch which has such a beautiful view it’ll be hard to tear ourselves away
Hope you sleep better tonight Roses and feel ok today as the day goes on
Thinking of everwith worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning from a bright W Kent. My cleaner will be coming this morning, it is the bathrooms this week. Plus a hoover through. This afternoon we are off to a U3A talk.
All the best

Good morning, yet more wind and rain here in South Lanarkshire.

How good that the nursing team will take the time to work around your schedule Mick.

Oh Grandmabatty I hope you feel better quickly, it’s so hard looking after children while feeling ill.

That was a sweet comment from your DGD Mizuna, they do have a knack of bringing a lump to the throat don’t they.

Volunteering today in the shop then I can sit down and crochet a some more 3D daffodils for our yarn group Easter display.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Sar53 Mon 05-Feb-24 08:05:17

Good morning from my daughter's house in Kent.
Saturday evening we enjoyed Beauty and the Beast performed by my granddaughter's senior school.
Yesterday we took youngest granddaughter to the park. We had a great time feeding all the ducks, geese and birds. She met a school friend in the playground and had a great time.
DD2 is taking the girls to school at the moment, then we are going to the local tip to get rid of a load of rubbish. Later we are going shopping in Bromley and probably having lunch.
I will be going home tomorrow, I hope the trains behave.
Have a good day everyone xx

Marydoll Mon 05-Feb-24 08:05:20

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it is 10°C.

What a great medical team you have Mick. Nothing like that here, I just have to wait and see when my appointments are and cancel if unsuitable. It must save a lot of wasted appointments.

No exciting plans for today. Unfortunately DH has cancelled the golf, so no empty for me. I shall give him a list of chores, 😉 much has been neglected, since I have been in bed unwell.
I was in the middle of decluttering, when I became unwell and am keen to get started again.

Have a good day folks and all the early morning posters, who are poorly, I hope you improve as the day goes on.
