People or folks?

I always think folks sounds friendlier but actually I don't mind at all as long as 'whatever' is used with warmth and kindness.

I don’t like the word folk/s. Don’t know why but it irritates me.

It'll be a shame to lose these words out our rich and varied language.

Every time I'm on the London Underground they shout, "Move down the platform folks!" And this is to those half my age.

But I'm happy with younguns and olduns.

Some people prefer "seniors".

Either. I'm happy to be a old person or an 'old folk'. Fogey doesn't bother me either.
