Good morning from Shropshire.Dry at the moment but rain forecast later.

Yesterday was hectic!DD and SIL arrived with the farm trailer to collect our old furniture.They stayed for lunch and helped us organise the new furniture.

Today is Welsh later.DH is meant to be looking after the children but has woken up feeling under the weather after his shingles jab.

DD has just messaged to ask if we can look after the children on 2nd January!

I’m glad people are being friendlier at the WI grandMattie.I gave up when we moved here as people were so unwelcoming.

I hope you can find another trip to Harrogate Mick.

Good morning all and it’s bright but colder here in Essex.

Yesterday was a medical day with the family. I couldn’t get Dh a doctors app after phoning and phoning. First one is Thursday at 4 😤. He’s still poorly but up and down. DS1 was in London having a rodent ulcer removed from his forehead. 22 Stitches.😳. And DD went for her biopsy on the foot which was operated on over two years ago. There was a small spot which was suspect. The doctor told her ‘that’s not a melanoma’ - you don’t need a biopsy. Anyway, as she was there , they investigated and found a staple that had been left in after the operation! This saga just goes on and on! 😤.

Sorry your trips been cancelled Mick . Annoying and disappointing for you.

Our camellia is just coming out. They are so beautiful aren’t they, but don’t last long. 😥.

Today I’ll go to Bridge Club this afternoon.

Good morning from a dry Suffolk after a very wet morning yesterday and a little sun in the afternoon…..the idea that East Anglia is the driest part of the country seems a bit out of date these days!

I have a pedicure this morning,one of my treats to myself. I only have nail varnish in the summer months but enjoy the massaging and moisturing of my feet.

I am then going to a charity lunch organised by a good friend who is a wonderful cook and a great fundraiser for the NSPCC. It is at her home so will be a small friendly gathering. DH is hoping that,as I normally do from such occasions,I shall bring home a doggy box of puds.

It is ongoing caused by mixture of factors. Last night's was particularly bad, caused by my my constant coughing and GORD, I'm sure, but my hernia is not large enough for surgery, unfortunately. They are trying to manage it with medication.

The constant coughing, (nearly a year) is so debilitating. I need a hospital respiratory appointment., but the waiting lists are horrendous, as we all know. It is nothing sinister, just my COPD worsening.
I do feel a bit better, but so tired.

Good morning from North Yorkshire. It’s cloudy and forecast showers.
There’s such a lot of standing water still here. The village walk to a local nature reserve needed a detour as the path was 4 inches deep in water at one point.
Today I have a remote appointment for the charity computer update. Not sure what else is on the agenda.
Sorry to hear about your trip Mick, train strike dates are published in advance so you might find a suitable time to go.

Morning from a dry overcast S Hants, rain due tonight. I have a physio appointment at the local surgery later to assess my knee which is still painful.
How annoying Mick as others have suggested, maybe another company or a different trip?

Good morning from the Black country another dry start to the day, yesterday was completely rain free.
Spent 2hrs in front garden tidying it. It is not a big garden but a lot of the time was chatting to neighbours and people passing by.
Haven't read through as I've not long been up and I see tablet needs charging so will catch up later.

Grey skies but promised better late on. Supermarket shop while Wonderful Cleaner is here but then housebound waiting for new iPad which should have been delivered yesterday - text at 6.00 pm to say it would be today. If fine may introduce Olive to the garden, exciting for both of us.

A short good morning as I’ve lost two long posts, I think my iPad is coming to the end of the road.

DGD has just left for her P7 residential experience, Millport till the end of the week. She is excited DD nervous as DGD is a bit of a scatterbrain, I do hope it goes well.

Good morning Mick and everyone from bright Carlisle but lots of rain is forecast for later.
Yesterday I had a quick early trip into town to collect a regular prescription. Rather annoying because I'd gone in on Friday morning on various errands and arrived back home to find a message from the pharmacy to say the prescription was ready for pick up.
I phoned the garage about the one off strange noise that had come from my car on Saturday. No, they can't advise over the phone or have a quick look, it needs to be an investigation, which will mean leaving the car all day and can't be done before the end of March! What would happen if the car was unusable I don't know, I could be without it for weeks.
Today, housework and laundry plus I'm hoping the rain will hold off long enough for me to pop at least one of my new little plants in. If it rains, there's plenty of interesting things to get stuck into.

I'm so sorry you aren't up to much Marydoll, just wishing you can be up and about before long.

Good morning everyone from a cloudy Northampton, rain forecast later.

New garage freezer expected this afternoon, so a day at home for me. The company have given me a link for tracking, so that I can follow the delivery vehicle's progress. I shall be so pleased when it's up and running, as my little kitchen freezer is bursting at the seams, and I can start my batch cooking again. Almost the.first thing will be some home-made sausage rolls, as I have a wine evening coming up soon.

Good morning from a dry, but blustery Durham. Spent a few hours in Northallerton yesterday, such a lot of empty shops and the M&S Simply Food has gone - a long time since I was last there. At least Betty’s is still going strong, but £4.75 for a cup of coffee!
A bit more decluttering this morning, then a chiropody appointment followed by coffee with a friend who came home from a month’s holiday yesterday.
Very few flowers out up here yet, unless in full sun - so far just snowdrops and an odd crocus.

Good morning from a not quite raining but very dark Dunblane. We have a local gardening service cutting back our trees at the moment making lots of noise. We were let down by another company at the end of last year so there is plenty for them to cut back. They take it all away too which is great. Used to be DH’s job but I have banned him from doing this now 🤣 I think he is actually quite glad. Later someone is coming to take the final measurements for a new front door and a replacement unit for a window has “blown” as they say. Yesterday it was another tradesman to see about drainage the amount of water lying about our back door area has been horrendous this year. All adds up money wise and you begin to realise you are going through your savings and can’t replace them. Not ready to downsize yet though. Marydoll you amaze me how you keep seeing the positive. Batty you do a sterling job with your boys ‘they will be making great memories. Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning from a dry, blustery NE.
I slept late this morning perhaps because I had a busy day yesterday. I did four loads of washing and got them all dried and ironed by 5pm.
Dinner was easy as there was a duck breast left from Sunday dinner with the family.
A quieter day today with just general tidying up.
I read something online yesterday that said Samsung TVs will be dropping certain apps from March 9th, worth looking into if you have a Samsung TV.
I sometimes have problems with Netflix not loading but it is always back working the next day, obviously a problem at their end.

A busier day yesterday after a couple of days of feeling under the weather, decluttering, paperwork and singing.
Music club today and I’m dressing up a bit for music hall songs. Hope I can remember the words as haven’t sung them for a while…

Sorry your trip has been cancelled Mick, it’s happened to me for coach day trips for which the destination hasn’t proved popular. The Llandudno trip is always full!

Good Morning from Co Armagh, back to porridge this morning after our short break in Edinburgh with family . It usually snows when we are there , but just a bit of rain this year
I always find it cold there ! I’m just thawed out now ,
I found the tram very handy , we got it the whole way to Lieth , I found Princes street so sad looking with so many empty shops
We drove out to the Japanese Gardens , so beautiful!

aggie Edinburgh is known for its chilly blasts! The Japanese gardens near Dollar are lovely.

aggie I agree that the Japanese gardens are lovely to visit and they will only improve as they become more established. We were given a voucher for afternoon tea there which included garden entry.
