I joined FB in 2017 but rarely used it. I am now reducing my use of it as I was on it too much after I retired in 2021. I still find it useful for local information and a few groups I am in. As for looking at posts from individuals whose lives look so much better than mine, I can do without, affects my mental health a great deal. I now look at it once a day usually in the evening for local information and a couple of lovely groups I am in.
I looked at other social media such as Tik Tok, Instagram etc but got rid very quickly. I love YouTube though but I am not looking at it more than I would say TV programmes which I rarely watch nowadays.
I would say I was getting addicted to FB and decided to curb it in answer to the question and I removed friends, not friends that I picked up along the way. I just have mainly family on there now and my groups.
