Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but its dry outside at the moment in brackley .
I was sorry to hear about Dave Mears yesterday , but having gone through a similar situ , I looked at things with him such as weight loss and not a fuller face , because those who I know tend to look at me as to how I am .
At the moment when out the chill in the air has an effect on my breathing but its was worse this time last year .
Today hopefully get TV up and running so I can enjoy my cycling .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from s somerset. The rain battering my window woke me up and is set to rain all day

Ash, I wish you all the best, sorry about the tia and I am also angry that you have not been properly diagnosed due to lack of medical care.

I need some minor shopping today, shall try and pick my moment, in between the expected heavy showers. I am trying to keep downstairs resonably tidy so have put most hobby stuff away for now. I am not tidy when I am engrossed

Have a good day

White rabbits 🐇🐇🐇 and happy St. David’s day to all you Welsh people out there.
It’s cold and very wet here in Bristol, and I really don’t want to go out 🙁
The commissioned quilt has been received and the lady delighted, thank goodness.
I watched “Roman Holiday” the other day. It enchanted me, I had forgotten what a sweet story it was.
I had a lovely evening with the family; even Iris behaved her self, without the usual tantrums and door slamming. I find that very wearing.
Today, other than Spanish, I’m going with a church lady to a “famous” fabric shop somewhere out of town. I may have been told where…. It is closing down because the owners don’t want to carry on, and there are no buyers. No doubt, I shall spend a fortune and fill up my already full stash!
Carpe diem, dear virtual friends 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from the South Downs - where I am awake at this ungodly hour because I’m taking my sister to have a cataract removed today. She has to check in by 8.30 and with the morning traffic we thought we had better leave loads of time.

mick is is very disconcerting to hear of people dying from cancer, I felt the same after I had begun to recover from my experience with it. As time goes on though you regain your confidence.

Another day of unremitting rain, so will do some houseworking stuff - not too much and then find something more enjoyable, whilst waiting to hear from my sister to return her home. She has had so much to put up with this autumn/winter - hopefully after her next eye gets done she will have a spring/summer of recovery.

Enjoy your day people .

Peace and harmony to the world.

Good morning, I’ve been awake for some time, the wind and lashing rain on the windows woke me up.
I’ve signed up for an art journalling course, online, something I’ve been looking at for a while. I know very little about it so something new to try.
I hope it’s not going to pour down all day, the dog has the dog walker this morning, DD is driving over from Wales for the weekend and I will get very wet going to the surgery for my heart failure review.
I can’t believe how much rain we’ve had, everything is beyond sodden around here now. The lawn squelches when you walk on it!
I hope today goes well for you all 🌹

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a dark, frosty South Yorkshire. Had a really good walk with the Thursday group yesterday, but it told on my legs later. I called in on my niece on the way home and then went to pick up my new glasses which I’m pleased with, though it will take a while to get used to the driving prescription. It’s quite strong. Posts going in for the new garden fence this afternoon, so the place will look a mess for a while.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning from South Lanarkshire. It’s still dark and I’m not sure what the weather is like but I don’t hear rain or wind so that’s good.

Off to childmind and for the first time in ages we need to leave quite early as DDoutL has changed her working hours.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Mizuna Fri 01-Mar-24 06:23:07

Good morning from a wet, windy Cornwall where I'm texting my daughter who is in a hospital bed on the Wirral on her 45th birthday! She has a raised heartbeat so was admitted yesterday. Being blind she'll find it fascinating. Apparently someone snored all night. 😁 She hurriedly packed a bag before going to A&E and included my present, a big box of Hotel Chocolat mini Easter eggs. She was born weighing 2lbs and not expected to live so I always rejoice on this day in my heart.

Today I'll venture to the beach and breathe the air and have a coffee at the beach café.

Bellasnana Fri 01-Mar-24 06:42:05

Good morning from Malta where it is damp and 16°C.

Mizuna happy birthday to your DD, I hope she will be better soon.

It’s also my DD2’s 40th birthday today. Can’t believe how fast the time has gone, nor that she has now spent half her life away from home living in the USA. I remember every detail of the day she was born. Happy days.

I’m with the boys who are their usual sweet selves although littlest one has had his mum up and down in the night so I expect an early nap will be in order!

Take care all and I wish you a good day.☀️

Puss Fri 01-Mar-24 06:42:39

Good morning everyone from Belfast
It's dark and windy no rain as yet.
Cat fed but she's looking more.
Have to go out today running out of bread.
Have a good day everyone.

Ladyleftfieldlover Fri 01-Mar-24 06:43:24

Morning all and big fluffy white rabbits from a torrentially raining West Oxfordshire!
It is the monthly WI coffee morning. We usually meet in the local coffee shop but every few months we have what we call a travelling coffee shop. Today we are going to a nearby pottery which apart from having delicious cakes, has a wonderful shop!
I very nearly finished removing the cement from my stained glass piece yesterday but there is still more to remove. I will take it to a picture framer next week. I could try making one myself - there are dozens of YouTube videos - but I think I would botch it.
Have a good day, especially those of you who are suffering.

Mizuna Fri 01-Mar-24 06:53:37

Do you have a photo of your stained glass Ladyleftfieldlover? It's something I'd love to have a go at.

Ladyleftfieldlover Fri 01-Mar-24 06:57:53

Mizuna, it still needs a little work and I would like it framed. Then I’ll post a photo. Did you seen the lantern photos?

Mizuna Fri 01-Mar-24 07:00:27

Oh, no I missed those somehow!

Grandmachrisy47 Fri 01-Mar-24 07:05:01

Good morning from a dry and frosty Co Durham.

grandMattie such a beautiful quilt. I agree with Wwm2, Mick abut life after cancer.
Happy Birthdays to the Ddauaughters celebrating today. Hope Mizuna’s daughter is soon home.
My new cleaning fairy came yesterday and bottomed the ground floor and will return next Thursday to do the same with the upstairs, then three weekly after that. She is younger than DD2 !
Waiting for dgd to arrive for breakfast and walk to school.
Hope everyone has a good day. I’ll return later to read the rest of your posts.

Good morning from a wet and chilly Torbay.

I cannot thank you all enough for your thoughtful comments, messages, emails and texts yesterday which were so helpful on a day when I really needed them. Although I didn’t fulfil my hope of seeing a GP, I did have a long, productive call from one of my favourite doctors who had spent time researching my case.

He had accessed my scan, confirming the TIA and had a plan for next steps. By the end of the afternoon, I had a text with a date in March for being seen at the vascular clinic (awaited since November last year) and a link for contacting the physio regarding my arthritic knee. My BP will be carefully monitored at home and at the practice. I felt uplifted after weeks of worry.

We celebrated with a bus trip into Torquay, partly to drop off blister packs for recycling at Superdrug, but also to buy footwear for the summer. I have some lovely trainers with solid wedge heels and gold strips on the back!

My grateful thanks to you all for your warmth, care and support when I most needed it. 🦩🥰🦩💐

Good morning everyone from Cambridge, where it looks quite grey and cloudy, it’s very wet around here too
Goodness mizuna its good to hear you’re feeling better, but sorry to hear your DD is in hospital on her birthday.. I hope she recovers soon and you get your Hotel Chocolate mini eggs before too long.
Also a happy 40th birthday to your DD Bellasnana I hope she has a lovely day.
A beautiful quilt gmattie no wonder the recipient was delighted
I arrived safely here yesterday to a lovely warm welcome. Ive slept well and have just crept downstairs to get myself a cup of tea before the DGSs wake up. Today everyone will be busy either working or at school, so I’ll probably just have a wander into the city centre for a browse around the shops.
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

GrannyGravy13 Fri 01-Mar-24 07:09:32

Morning all, the sun rise was spectacular here in S E Essex, haven’t looked at the weather forecast for today.

A full on day of Granny duties as DS4 and his gorgeous wife are going away for the weekend and we have the GC. It’s also pick-up duty for DD’s two so it will be fun here after school 😱

Have a good St David’s day 🐇🐇🐇

NanKate Fri 01-Mar-24 07:12:43

Good morning Mick and all from a very wet grey day in South Bucks.

I have moved this photograph flowers and candle into our front window now, to remember Alexei Navalny who bravely stood up to that tyrant Putin. It is his funeral today RIP 💐

cornergran Fri 01-Mar-24 07:13:17

Morning Mick, morning All from a very wet corner of Somerset. Will the rain ever stop? I’d love to wake to a clear, frosty start.

We’re off out today. Mr C is determined rain won’t keep us at home. It’s our 55th wedding anniversary, as he says the snow on our wedding day didn’t stop us going out. True - we were younger then! Oh well, a nice lunch is on the agenda.

Birthday and get well wishes to your daughter mizuna along with birthday wishes to your daughter bellasnana.

Hope Friday is kind to us all.

Kalu Fri 01-Mar-24 07:14:18

Good morning from Glasgow. A dry, calmer morning with a light frost and pink sunrise, a pleasant change from yesterday’s high winds.

A dental appointment late morning will be my outing for the day. BHF coming this afternoon to collect 6 dining chairs I no longer have any use for since I replaced them for a more comfortable style around the kitchen table.

Happy birthday to your DDs Mizuna and Bellasnana.
Happy St David’s Day to our Welsh Gnetters. 🌼

Have the best day possible all.

Greyduster Fri 01-Mar-24 07:18:49

A Very Happy Anniversary, Mr and Mrs Corner!🥂💐

kittylester Fri 01-Mar-24 07:19:00

Good morning all from a cloudy North Leicestershire.

DH has a volunteer drive today and I intend to go for a walk if the rain stays away.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Gala Fri 01-Mar-24 07:21:20

Good morning from a dry & cold Sefton. Rain is forecast. I expect it will arrive soon.
Last night I made a real pig's ear of preparing the bread maker for a very early morning start. Eventually switched it off & left it. Shouting at it didn't seem to help. I have just restarted it. 🤞& hope for the best.
No zoom classes this morning as our instructor is away. I will use a couple of videos from her 'library' as I don't like to interrupt my weekly exercise routine. It's too easy for my inner lazy self to take over & demand a duvet day. Plans for the rest of the day will be weather dependant.
Take care all.
