Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but its dry outside at the moment in brackley .
I was sorry to hear about Dave Mears yesterday , but having gone through a similar situ , I looked at things with him such as weight loss and not a fuller face , because those who I know tend to look at me as to how I am .
At the moment when out the chill in the air has an effect on my breathing but its was worse this time last year .
Today hopefully get TV up and running so I can enjoy my cycling .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a bright sunny Dunblane with blue skies, good day for a walk I think. Lots of birthday news on here today greetings to all. Like several of you I continue to clear out “stuff” why does everything still look the same though? I find it very difficult to get rid of things I quite like but never use. Dh is busy looking at holidays no idea where we want to go so many places appear to be coming a bit unsafe these days. I need to give myself a shake maybe the better weather will help as I really have nothing to complain about compared to others. Thoughts are with all those struggling.

Good morning from a very wet and dismal East Midlands. An afternoon of knitting a cardigan. 6 weeks on monday since the hysterectomy. Roll on the sunny days and sitting in the garden.

Grandmachrisy47 Fri 01-Mar-24 10:44:11

Just popped back to wish Happy Birthday to Jax and Happy Anniversary to the corners. Blossoming I love Lytham but when I was in Preston two weeks ago it was too wet to venture there. Hopefully next time dsis and I will be able to go. Ash so pleased you’re getting the care you deserve.
Our Doctors surgery just rang to book dh for his annual review. I’ve never had one !!! Took the opportunity to arrange an appointment to have my ears syringed.

Good morning all - late after a good night's sleep 😁 - from an unexpectedly gloriously sunny and frosty day on the Angus coast. I really do feel for all you folks suffering under so many rainy days, but the norm here is for a lovely winter/spring followed by wind and rain off the North Sea during the summer. So think of us when you're basking under a too-hot sun soon!
Happy birthday to the DDs of Bellasnana and Mizuna. Your DD sounds as if she is made of the same resilient, kind and cheerful stuff as her dear mamma. A real tribute to you! Enjoy your facetime with your DD later Bella.
Happy Birthday too to Jax, and Happy Anniversary also. Sad that your knee means any exciting celebrations will have to be delayed, but enjoy your carry-out - and memories.
Happy Anniversary too to Mr and Mrs Corner! Goodness what a day of celebrations this is 🥳🎉.
Ash so glad you managed a phone call with a doctor yesterday - at least now you can feel supported.
Brook enjoy your weekend in Cambridge and your DGS's 🎂🎈.
I'm off in a minute to put more food out for the hungry birds - which will no doubt be eaten in minutes by those two beautiful bullies, the magpies! All the little birds (mainly sparrows, great tits, robins and blackbirds) feed happily together, but they all clear off noisily to the hedge when the magpies appear. I have to remind myself that they are god's creatures too!
Then later when the sun is on the pond I shall wander down there and feed the fish and carry out my usual exercise of trying to count them. I know (I think) there are 20, but I suspect that there may be a couple or so who have survived last year's spawning and grown large enough to be seen this year. If only they'd all stay still for a moment .......
In the meantime I shall take a walk around the house with the vacuum cleaner.
Enjoy your days everyone, whatever they may bring, and I hope all the poorlies have a better day today 🦋🌷

Good morning Mick and all from wet and windy Lancashire, currently 4°C.

Happy birthday to your daughter*Mizuna*, hope she is OK.

Happy birthday to your daughter also Bellasnana.

Glad you spoke to a doctor Ashcombe and are being looked after.

Happy anniversary to you both Cornergran.

Hope today is a better day Marydoll.

Take it easy today Grandmabatty colds are very wearing.

Happy Birthday Jax hope you have a good day despite the knee.

We had a lovely run out to Lytham yesterday then meandered home via country lanes and the farm shop. We won’t be going out today, the rain is rattling the windows and it’s really windy.

Happy St. David’s Day, hope it’s a good one for us all.

harrigran Fri 01-Mar-24 09:13:38

Good morning from a sunny NE.
I went to see Evita last night, GD2' s school production. It was spectacular, the girl who played Eva Peron was amazing with such a beautiful voice.
Today I am going out for lunch with my friend, can't believe it is four weeks since the last time.
Happy anniversary to the Corners.

Morning from cold but dry South Lanarkshire. A lovely afternoon with DD yesterday and another quiet day today after the World Day of Prayer service this morning. Fittingly it’s been written this year by the women of Palestine.

Happy Anniversary to the Corners and Happy Birthday (and anniversary) to Jaxjacky.
Happy Birthday wishes also to Bellasnana’s DD as well as Mizuna’s. As Gingster remarked she is clearly as positive as her mum, another achievement for you.

I hope your new cat settles down GrannySomerset she does sound like a big challenge.

Best wishes to everyone for a good day.

NannyJan53 Fri 01-Mar-24 09:01:28

Good morning from a rainy Black Country.

A lovely walk along the canal yesterday to Kinver, coffee stop half way along. It was very muddy, but the rain held off!

DS was interviewed on a local radio station yesterday . Proud Mum moment!

Taking Mum to a Memory Cafe this morning, and on to an eye test afterwards. Try and fit in a cafe for lunch between. .

Wishing you all the best day possible

Beechnut Fri 01-Mar-24 09:01:26

Another wet day on Severnside 😦

Good morning everyone

Wishing you a very Happy Birthday JaxJacky 🎉🎂

I probably should do some shopping as it’s been well over a week since I did any. My friend is coming this morning so I’ll go this afternoon.

Have a good day all ☔️🌸

Bellasnana Fri 01-Mar-24 08:52:57

Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny, frosty Carlisle. I see you're getting lots of rain further south and it's forecast to be here at lunchtime, just when I'm due to go out for my dental appointment. I fear the tooth will be an extraction or a crown but not today I'd expect.
I'd like to get round to the Body Shop, it's one that's being closed...right in the city centre. Don't think I'll be able to make it today though.

This morning, I must get down to some admin then some reading when I'm back from the dentist. I'm tackling one of those ought to read Russian classics, The Brothers Karamazov. It's a thick tome with very small print and I'm wishing it was on my Kindle so I could enlarge it, however, I'm liking it so far.

Best wishes to all you poorlies and have the best possible day everyone.

Good morning everyone from a very wet Northampton, torrential rain here today. Hoping my lift decides she wants to go to dance classes, if not, then I shan't be venturing out.

Busy day housework wise.yesterday; bed changing, dust removal upstairs, a deep clean of my en-suite, and two loads of washing. Wherein lies a mystery - a missing pillowcase! Have looked everywhere, shaken the duvet covers out, checked washing machine and tumble dryer but no sign of it....

I found time in the afternoon to finish the fifth and final volume of the Cazalet Chronicles; I am sorry to say goodbye to the family and their adventures, but can now watch the tv series on DVD.

Nothing else planned for today after dance classes, will probably start my new read for book club, 'The Lost Bookshop'.

Have a good White Rabbits day everyone.

Gingster Fri 01-Mar-24 08:40:49

Happy birthday Jaxjacky 🥳

Gingster Fri 01-Mar-24 08:37:34

Good morning and Ive just returned from traffic jammed roads. I messaged DD to say I would pick up little DGD as it was pouring and take her to school. She didn’t reply but I headed off. The main Road up to our town is closed, so there is chaos everywhere. Stuck up another hill, I got a msg from Dd saying they were already on the bus. 😤. Took me another long while to get back home. Oh well, the thought was there!

She’ll pop in for coffee and I’ll dry her off with a warm blanket and a hot drink.

Ash I’m glad you have had reassurance 👍.
Mizuna your Dd sounds as resilient as her mum. 😉.
Happy birthday to her and Bellasnanna’s Dd.💐💐.

I think we’re all in for another wet day so take care 🌷

keepcalmandcavachon Fri 01-Mar-24 08:33:28

White Welsh Rabbits everyone, Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus
Wet & windy = crafting with plenty of tea & toasted teacakes! The garden will just have to be patient.
I love your latest GrandMattie, beautiful, good to hear you are feeling better after your chat with your doctor Ash and hope all with worries and heath concerns are able to have the best day possible x (Come on Spring-we need you!)

Grammaretto Fri 01-Mar-24 08:26:24

Good morning on this beautiful sunny St David's day.

Congratulations to the Corners, JaxJacky and to all the birthday girls and boys.
We danced the Anniversary Waltz last night at the ceilidh dancing. It must have been for you.

I'm working in the community store this morning and then I'm off to the potters' spring gathering in Fife for the weekend.

GrannySomerset Fri 01-Mar-24 08:26:23

Cat problems dominating my life - she has become very aggressive and it’s not clear why. I bear the scars of last night’s attack and am at a loss to know what to do. Oldies’ coffee morning and a service in church (what used to be Women’s World Day of Prayer) so must get organised.

Grandmabatty Fri 01-Mar-24 08:15:42

Ashcombe I missed your post. I'm very glad that something is being done to help you.

Bonnybanko Fri 01-Mar-24 08:14:09

Good morning all the sunset here on the east coast of Fife is glorious. I’m staying at home today, I’ll be making my favourite lentil soup and potato wedges for lunch with my carer who’s just come back from maternity leave, one of the good ones.

Have a good day my friends hope i you are all well.

hollysteers Fri 01-Mar-24 08:13:33

Good morning and happy St.David’s Day to all with Welsh connections.
Sad to hear this morning of the death of the wife of a singing colleague, cancer again, what a scourge it is!
Off to art soon and hope to feel more enthusiastic today, getting fed up going out in the cold.

Happy anniversary to the Corners, Birthday greetings to Bellasnana and Mizuna DD, thoughts to Ash and all with worries 🌺

Jaxjacky Fri 01-Mar-24 08:09:08

Good morning from a windy, wet S Hants, it’s chilly too.
Happy birthday to your daughters Mizuna and Bellasnana 🎂, it’s mine today too It’s also 25 years since we got together, we were going away tonight, but the knee has cancelled that.
A Happy Anniversary to the corners🥂.
That sounds better Ashcombe a proper plan, I should think so too.
A takeaway tonight of some sort.
