Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but its dry outside at the moment in brackley .
I was sorry to hear about Dave Mears yesterday , but having gone through a similar situ , I looked at things with him such as weight loss and not a fuller face , because those who I know tend to look at me as to how I am .
At the moment when out the chill in the air has an effect on my breathing but its was worse this time last year .
Today hopefully get TV up and running so I can enjoy my cycling .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from rainy Colchester. My cold is much better just in time for a quiet weekend with nothing in the diary. A trip to Lidl will be today's highlight.

Happy Anniversary, Mr and Mrs Corner! and a Happy St David's Day
Love to all 🦩 x

Good morning from another sunny Suffolk although, given the puddles on the drive, there was a lot of rain overnight. I don’t know how long the sun will last, long enough,I hope, till after I get home from a lunch with 3 friends at a fish restaurant about 15 miles away.

We meet up every couple of months and always have lots to talk about. We live very different lives with different commitments which always makes for fascinating conversations.

Hope today is a positive one for everyone.

Good morning Mick and everyone from a very cold, wet and windy Oxfordshire. Best not to dwell on it Mick, you are doing so well compared to last year, but DaveMyers will be sadly missed.
My jalopy failed it’s MOT and needs a new something or other to do with the steering, so it will stay at the garage until they can do it, we are away for a few days next week so I won’t need it. It’s turned out to be a very expensive February this year.

Bed changing and a clean through today and maybe a garage sort out but it’s so cold and wet out there, it might be an indoors day with a good book as MrOops is out.
Happy birthdays to all the ‘Children’
Happy Anniversary to the Corners💐🥂
So sorry you are so poorly again Marydoll 💐
Mizuna hope your DD is out of hospital soon.
Pleased you have at least spoken to someone at the surgery who can help Ash.
Have a dry day everyone, try to avoid the puddles.

Good morning from Durham. It’s very cold and rain forecast.
A Costa coffee this morning with a friend and I’ll pick up wine for the DD’s birthdays. Nail appointments for DD2 and me this afternoon and as I still have her Little Dog here, it’ll have to be straight there and back. I’ll walk him later. I’m still coughing and my ribs ache, but it’s nothing compared to others.
Best wishes to all. X

Good morning from North Yorkshire. Clear blue sky, lots of frost and a beautiful sunrise!
I went to see Wicked Little Letters with some friend yesterday. Oh my the language!
Today it’s parent group in Thirsk. I shall be making coffee and generally helping out. After lunch I shall pop to see my friend who broke her leg.
And I need some food shopping…
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from a cold wet morning in Leamington. Lots of tired girls here as DGD1 has finished 3 of her 6 shows and DGD2 went to see it with her dad last night.
DD1 and I are food shopping later before collecting DGD3 from school.
Always busy here but lovely to be part of their lives for a time.
Have a great day everyone xx

Should say differs not suffers!

Grandmabatty Fri 01-Mar-24 07:32:06

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently -1° and frosty. It's really interesting how the weather suffers in our comparatively small island. Happy anniversary to Mr and Mrs Corner. Have a nice day. Happy birthday to the dds of Bellasnana and Mizuna. GrandMattie that is a lovely quilt.
Yesterday was the last art class and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I drew two more ballet dancers and can see an improvement. I'll carry on practising.
Today is a quiet day. I'm still choked with the cold and was up in the night with it a couple of times. It's a lovely day so I think I'll get into the garden for a little while. I'll have chicken salad again for dinner. Have a good day all

Marydoll Fri 01-Mar-24 07:26:39

Good morning all from a cold Glasgow, DH says the cars are covered in

A Happy St. David's day to all our Welsh posters. Today would have been my father's birthday, he would have been 118!

Mick, we can all be affected by bad news of people with similar conditions, best not to dwell on it, we can't change anything, apart from trying to keep as healthy as we can.
Look on the positives, remember how unwell you were this time last year. 💐

Mizuna, another worry for you to contend with. I hope you are starting to feel better.💐

GM, Roman Holiday is one of my favourite times. My fridge is covered in Roman Holiday fridge magnets one collected each time I visited Rome!

Yesterday, I was very sick, due to the incessant coughing. I'm praying for a better day today. DS2 may visit with Babydoll, which would just be the tonic I need.

Have the best day you can folks.

Good morning from a dry & cold Sefton. Rain is forecast. I expect it will arrive soon.
Last night I made a real pig's ear of preparing the bread maker for a very early morning start. Eventually switched it off & left it. Shouting at it didn't seem to help. I have just restarted it. 🤞& hope for the best.
No zoom classes this morning as our instructor is away. I will use a couple of videos from her 'library' as I don't like to interrupt my weekly exercise routine. It's too easy for my inner lazy self to take over & demand a duvet day. Plans for the rest of the day will be weather dependant.
Take care all.

kittylester Fri 01-Mar-24 07:19:00

Good morning all from a cloudy North Leicestershire.

DH has a volunteer drive today and I intend to go for a walk if the rain stays away.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Kalu Fri 01-Mar-24 07:14:18

Good morning from Glasgow. A dry, calmer morning with a light frost and pink sunrise, a pleasant change from yesterday’s high winds.

A dental appointment late morning will be my outing for the day. BHF coming this afternoon to collect 6 dining chairs I no longer have any use for since I replaced them for a more comfortable style around the kitchen table.

Happy birthday to your DDs Mizuna and Bellasnana.
Happy St David’s Day to our Welsh Gnetters. 🌼

Have the best day possible all.

cornergran Fri 01-Mar-24 07:13:17

Morning Mick, morning All from a very wet corner of Somerset. Will the rain ever stop? I’d love to wake to a clear, frosty start.

We’re off out today. Mr C is determined rain won’t keep us at home. It’s our 55th wedding anniversary, as he says the snow on our wedding day didn’t stop us going out. True - we were younger then! Oh well, a nice lunch is on the agenda.

Birthday and get well wishes to your daughter mizuna along with birthday wishes to your daughter bellasnana.

Hope Friday is kind to us all.

NanKate Fri 01-Mar-24 07:12:43

Good morning Mick and all from a very wet grey day in South Bucks.

I have moved this photograph flowers and candle into our front window now, to remember Alexei Navalny who bravely stood up to that tyrant Putin. It is his funeral today RIP 💐

GrannyGravy13 Fri 01-Mar-24 07:09:32

Morning all, the sun rise was spectacular here in S E Essex, haven’t looked at the weather forecast for today.

A full on day of Granny duties as DS4 and his gorgeous wife are going away for the weekend and we have the GC. It’s also pick-up duty for DD’s two so it will be fun here after school 😱

Have a good St David’s day 🐇🐇🐇

brook2704 Fri 01-Mar-24 07:07:51

Good morning everyone from Cambridge, where it looks quite grey and cloudy, it’s very wet around here too
Goodness mizuna its good to hear you’re feeling better, but sorry to hear your DD is in hospital on her birthday.. I hope she recovers soon and you get your Hotel Chocolate mini eggs before too long.
Also a happy 40th birthday to your DD Bellasnana I hope she has a lovely day.
A beautiful quilt gmattie no wonder the recipient was delighted
I arrived safely here yesterday to a lovely warm welcome. Ive slept well and have just crept downstairs to get myself a cup of tea before the DGSs wake up. Today everyone will be busy either working or at school, so I’ll probably just have a wander into the city centre for a browse around the shops.
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

I enjoyed my lunch at school with DGS.I went into town with DD afterwards and we were home in time to go and collect B from school. We had our evening meal with them followed by birthday cake as I won’t see them on my birthday tomorrow.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Good morning from a wet and chilly Torbay.

I cannot thank you all enough for your thoughtful comments, messages, emails and texts yesterday which were so helpful on a day when I really needed them. Although I didn’t fulfil my hope of seeing a GP, I did have a long, productive call from one of my favourite doctors who had spent time researching my case.

He had accessed my scan, confirming the TIA and had a plan for next steps. By the end of the afternoon, I had a text with a date in March for being seen at the vascular clinic (awaited since November last year) and a link for contacting the physio regarding my arthritic knee. My BP will be carefully monitored at home and at the practice. I felt uplifted after weeks of worry.

We celebrated with a bus trip into Torquay, partly to drop off blister packs for recycling at Superdrug, but also to buy footwear for the summer. I have some lovely trainers with solid wedge heels and gold strips on the back!

My grateful thanks to you all for your warmth, care and support when I most needed it. 🦩🥰🦩💐

Grandmachrisy47 Fri 01-Mar-24 07:05:01

Good morning from a dry and frosty Co Durham.

grandMattie such a beautiful quilt. I agree with Wwm2, Mick abut life after cancer.
Happy Birthdays to the Ddauaughters celebrating today. Hope Mizuna’s daughter is soon home.
My new cleaning fairy came yesterday and bottomed the ground floor and will return next Thursday to do the same with the upstairs, then three weekly after that. She is younger than DD2 !
Waiting for dgd to arrive for breakfast and walk to school.
Hope everyone has a good day. I’ll return later to read the rest of your posts.

Mizuna Fri 01-Mar-24 07:00:27

Oh, no I missed those somehow!

Ladyleftfieldlover Fri 01-Mar-24 06:57:53

Mizuna, it still needs a little work and I would like it framed. Then I’ll post a photo. Did you seen the lantern photos?

Mizuna Fri 01-Mar-24 06:53:37

Do you have a photo of your stained glass Ladyleftfieldlover? It's something I'd love to have a go at.
