In my previous job I was a chef in a hospice and I've had several dreams since I left where, I'm dillying about then suddenly realise it's fifteen minutes before service, I haven't even started and when I go to use the oven/hob etc, it's broken, the wiring is hanging out and is totally unusable.

All goes quiet and then at cloud level huge alien craft fly overhead firing at the ground (think those films)

I have these too and like yourself I'm yet to work out what they mean. I never get taken away by any of them or see aliens, but it's usually like something from War of the Worlds.

Yes! Right - they must be symbols for something.

I quite enjoy those dreams, but I've always thought they must have some deep rooted meaning.

I have very vivid dreams about lots of different things and often very confusing.

I used to have a horrible dream about being in a house fire and trapped. I often have the “falling” dream and also often have a dream where I’m being chased and I go to shout for help but even though I’m shouting very loudly in my dreams nothing comes out (however often my husband wakes me as I’m bellowing out very loudly in my sleep!)

I often talk in my sleep too and as a child sleptwalked regularly!

I have a recurring dream that I am lost in Addenbrooke’s Hospital trying to get to the main concourse in the underground pathways and going round and round. I worked in that hospital for many years many years ago!!

I think dreams are really interesting and have often toyed with the idea of keeping a notepad and pencil by my bed as I forget most dreams, bar the recurring ones, by the time I’m out of bed for my wee!

I had fabulous dreams when I wore a strong 24 hour nicotine patch.

They were psychedelic, almost.

I have several books of my dreams which I wrote down as a teenager. I had codes for different "parts" and whether, when they changed scenarios, they were just carrying on or were different dreams all together. I also made notes at the back as to whether there might be a reason for me dreaming of a particular thing....

In my case MissAdventure I think it’s a need to escape from same old, same old.

I don’t mind the being chased dream as long as I’m not naked!!

My daughter keeps having a dream about being chased down a dark street by a giant walrus.
I had a dream a few night ago about shouting at someone but don't know who or why.

So far I’ve read that the alien spaceships may be a metaphor for what I find alien and difficult to assimilate in my life.

Which given the general state of everything in the world could be correct. But it seems a bit simplistic?

But sometimes maybe we look into things far deeper than we need to? There's a lot to try to get our heads around at the moment and affects some way more than others. Myself included. But I'd still rather not be chased or troubled by spaceships firing rockets at me!

I often dream about places I knew as a child, or homes I lived in, but they have usually changed in some way. In fact buildings feature more than anything else in my dreams. At one time I used to dream about spooky houses and even though they looked scary I sometimes went inside and was perfectly calm and not frightened at all.

Very similar to my dreams.
I create so many buildings and streets in dreams, think I should have been an architect.😄
One recurring dream is that I’m walking down a dark long street, the houses are deserted and dilapidated and menacing.
I even go ‘uh oh!’ This dream again, so recognise it’s dreaming, but still scary.
I also own very large houses in dreams with masses of rooms, but they always feel menacing too.

I often dream about my late mum dad and brother. I dream that we are living in our old house When I wake in the morning I feel as though I have really been with them all night, such a lovely feeling then reality sinks in and I realise I will never see them again. I feel very sad for the rest of the day.

My dreams usually have to do with houses. After living in our house for years, we suddenly discover a whole wing that we knew nothing about! Surprise. Another house we bought sight unseen but on arriving (amid deep snow) find all the windows are mostly underground, no doors and we can't even get in the house! I can still see those windows peeking out from basement level as if 'Ha! Just how do you think you can get in here!?'

I have several recurring dreams, but my dream of the moment is definitely an anxiety dream, one of our daughters is getting married in the summer, I repeatedly dream that we get up in the morning as usual, and my husband says, don’t forget R…. is getting married today, and I’m in a total panic, I haven’t bought anything to wear, nothing is organised, or I have decided what to wear, but it’s really old, and when I get it out it’s all in rags, or I’ve bought something but can’t find it, my daughter seems to be having similar dreams!

They're the worst, aren't they? Have had so many of those types, depending on the situation. I'm not dressed, I can't find something I need, I can't find someone, the list goes on. When I was at school doing my GCSE's I dreamt most nights that I was being chased/pursued by daleks! I still don't like them! Haha.

I dream sometimes that I am lost and when I try to speak I cannot make a sound.

I used to have dreams about my teeth breaking or falling out. I have read that they are symptoms of stress. They started when I was still at primary school but I haven't had one for ages. Perhaps my brain has realised that I've got so few teeth left that they aren't worth dreaming about.

I don't remember many of my dreams but I had an odd one last night. I was visited by two men, possibly friends of DH. I was showing them the garden, where for some reason I was growing radishes in flower pots. Then I was offering them coffee but our coffee machine was covered in rust and cobwebs. I insisted on carrying on with it but then somebody came in with a baby, closely followed by MiL! At this point I'd had enough and woke up!

I have often had a dream about dying, or rather being shot/killed with a weapon. I am being made to look at my killer but I keep my eyes squeezed tight shut while I wait for the shot, I always wake up before I 'die'. My heart is always racing.

I do have good dreams too! But, the dying dreams stay in my head for a day or so.

I've always read that dreams about teeth is to do with money worries. But that's quite stressful in its own right!

That's horrible. Mine last night was similar. I was with a friend and we were outside a university type building. I was looking for frogspawn in a pond surrounded by Cotswold stone boulders 🤷 My friend said we needed to go and as we walked past the front doors, I suddenly realised she had been grabbed from behind someone (there were other baddies in the foyer). She was wearing a lilac suit. As I ran away amidst the chaos, the person shot me in the back. Either in my dream or as I was waking myself up from it, I could feel the "poke" in my back. In my dream I was firstly thinking "Oh, I'm alright" but seconds later lying on the ground saying "Oh, actually I'm not" at which point I woke up. My SO tells me occasionally that I was shouting/unsettled in the night, usually because of dreams like that. 'shudder'

Well I woke from a funny dream last night.

Somehow I was invited to an entertainment in a Middle Eastern palace. So I went dressed as a 1920s flapper with a bottle of whiskey in a plastic bag. Spent most of the dream looking for something to mix with the whisky.

Haha. If I got invited to a Mid Easternc celebration I would wear a long dress and loads of glitzy jewellery from my shop. And no way would I be taking alcohol there. I dont even drink whisky.

So I dont know where that dream came from.
