Good morning from South Lanarkshire, I’m not sure what the weather is doing.

An early start today for us to get over to the Capital for our childminding day. I think we’ll be spending it indoors for the most part as their entire household has been ill this week. I hope they keep their germs to themselves though.

I had a lovely evening with the family. The girls were at their best; DD was feeling relaxed as I was paying for a delivered dinner. ERNIE has been generous again. The girls chose pizza which they will all eat. They are incredibly fussy eaters though starting to improve.
Got my Spanish class this morning, and an interview with a local PhD student in the afternoon.
She is doing something about economy of natural resources, I haven’t quite understood it. I’m pretty careful anyway, so may skew her findings. This is to last two hours, she says. Help!

Good morning from a very windy Torbay where it’s been blowing for 24 hours and forecast to continue throughout today.

Mick: I know you like the routine of going out each day but perhaps it would be wise to avoid the foggy days for the sake of your health.

That interview sounds interesting, grandMattie; I expect the student is grateful that you are willing to participate.

Yesterday, DH travelled back safely to his home in France. It does seem quiet without him but he'll be back next month.My DS rang and we enjoyed over an hour of catching up. Later, a call from the hospital was less welcome. My appointment at the Stroke Clinic, awaited since last November and only issued last week thanks to my GP chasing it, has been put back a fortnight. ☹️

An indoor day, out of the wind, is beckoning. I hope everyone is safe and well. 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Sorry to hear the weather has had a detrimental effect on your health, Mick, as i know how much you enjoy your daily outings. Hope things improve soon.

I’m having a slightly later start today as DD3 leaves for Venice later today so I will be missing out on my free Saturday. I’m somewhat miffed about it to tell the truth.

Much as I love the boys I do need my weekends to recharge my batteries and do my own bits and pieces. DD3 has a habit of never asking me first before announcing I’m needed for babysitting. At least on Sunday dear son in law will take the boys to visit his parents (who never do any babysitting at all) so I will have one day to myself. Sorry for the moan!

Good morning from Cornwall where strong winds will blow my cobwebs away on my beach walk today. Should be sunny too. The tropical plants in the council gardens are throwing up thick flower stems 12 feet tall, so there's the look of Triffids all around.

Started making dye from avocado stones yesterday, so I'll be interested to see what colour it is in a minute when I venture to the kitchen to make a coffee, as the mix has been sitting overnight. Have ordered books on natural dyeing from the library as I have everything to learn about it.

Good morning from a dry Oxfordshire.

Mick have you tried wearing a mask? Or wrapping a scarf over your mouth to keep the cold damp air out of your lungs? If you have and it hasn’t worked then a trip to your GP might be a good idea.

Hairdresser will be here at 9 this morning, it’s her last time so I will need to find a new one.

Off to look at bathroom tiles this afternoon as we have to tidy it up a bit before we put the house up for sale.

Good morning from s somerset, I am expecting a pleasant dry day with pops of sunshine, not overly cold

I am off to Wells this morning for a bit of a potter. The sight of that glorious cathedral is always uplifting. I intend to fully enjoy the sunny days for the next couple of months, before it gets too hot for me

Mouche the bear is knitted and bathed. Drying flat and will be ready to carefully stuff tomorrow. I enjoyed knitting him, while watching foyle and heartbeat

Good morning all from another dry day in North Wales and let’s hope it stays that way as we’re off to a wedding later - first in 11 years 🥳

I’ve managed to cobble an outfit together but only have a shawl so will suffer for my vanity if it’s too cold 🥶

Lunch out tomorrow as well as DD and DGD are working on Sunday so not a lot of domestic goddessing going on at PG Towers this weekend!

Have fun dyeing Mizuna 🤣 and I hope all have an easier time than of late…I hate a list in case I miss someone x

Good morning from a very windy Essex coast. I have loads to do indoors so will not venture very far today.
I received an early Mother's day present from DD2 yesterday, two beautiful candles, they smell lovely.
I also had pictures of some of the girls dressed up for World Book day. I hope they all had a great day.

Good morning from a brightening Colchester. The sun will peep out from behind the clouds today. Yesterday was bright with a bitter wind. I got washing dry outside and got a bit of garden tidying done. Also planted my Lidl bargain plants.

A quiet day today just playing it by ear, although the ironing pile is taunting me.

Morning Mick, Morning All from a dry, draughty corner of Somerset.

Yesterdays medical morning passed. I’ll be referred for a full spinal MRI, as it was put to me to see what’s going on in there. Seems sensible. I’m to expect a long wait. Eye test accomplished. The good news was my sight hasn’t changed in two years. I was somewhat unsettled to be told an urgent referral would be sent to the eye hospital to check on a slight bleed behind my left eye. The optometrist was very reassuring so not overly concerned. Always something for sure.

A quieter one today. Some faffing this morning then Tai Chi early afternoon followed by a coffee out somewhere, Mr C’s reward for going. Fish and chips for tea.

It’s hard to feel taken for granted bellasnana. Enjoy the wedding pantglas. Wells is such a calm place karmalady, enjoy your wander. That sounds interesting grandmattie, some years ago we were involved in some research regarding the now closed Bristol Zoo and found it fascinating. I’m so sorry about your appointment ash, is it worth letting your GP know?

Time to stir. Hope Friday is kind to us all.

Good morning from bright W Kent. DH’s eye appointment went well and the first cataract should be done soon. As we came out he told me had drops in his eyes and I would have to drive. I gathered myself up and got on with quite a long drive for me. Today a food shop order and seeing GS5 at his house.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Grey, cold and dreary in South Yorkshire this morning. It was nippy when we were walking yesterday morning, too but at least the footpaths are drying out. My walking buddy has returned to the group after a long break. We were very pleased to see each other. DD’s for lunch and she gave me a portion of dauphinois potatoes she had made. I ate them last night with some salmon. They were garlicky and delicious!
Volunteering this afternoon and then a food shop.

Upsetting news yesterday.DD’s friend is being transferred to the hospice today.We are all so upset.Her friend has a toddler and a little girl.DD is understandably devastated.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 5° and wet. It feels really cold too. Ash that seems so unfair to put back your appointment. Jaxjacky nice to know you had been missed! Bellasnana being taken for granted isn't a nice feeling. You have the boys for very long days too. Cornergran it's good that the optician was reassuring. I hope it goes well.
Yesterday I pottered successfully inside and out. Later on, I began to feel unwell and it has continued all night. It's neuralgia, sinusitis or something similar. I suspect it's all coming from this awful virus which still lingers. There's no point in contacting a doctor because they'll tell me the same. I will have to go to Aldi at some point for food. I hope Marydoll and stilllearning enjoyed the theatre. Have a good day all

Good morning all and we have another beautiful sunrise but, boy is it chilly and very breezy.
We travel back to Essex today and I hate going over the Orwell Bridge when it’s windy 🫣.

We’ve had a restful few days and we’re going back to a busy weekend with DS2 and DIL staying as they have a wedding to go to not far from us. ds1 and wife are going too, so I’ll sit in with their girls in the evening. I’ll get fish and chips and we’ll have a cosy evening together.

We’ll tidy up here and leave everything shipshape, so when we come back it’s welcoming and clean.

Bellasnanna I find the more you do, the more is expected. 🙄. Enjoy your day off on Sunday 😉.

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s another bright dry start to the day
Goodness Belleananna you definitely do so much childcare no wonder you need your weekends - I’d be a bit miffed too!
Yesterday I really enjoyed the day pottering in the garden and got loads of tidying up done, the weather was very spring like and it was warm sat in the sunshine with my cup of tea. This morning, I’m off to the eye clinic to eventually get my stitches out after my recent op and then I’m not sure what to do … I could go back to the gym but might leave it until Monday now.
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning all from a very cold and windy start to the day here on the east coast of Fife. Sorry to hear of your health troubles Michael, once the warmer weather kicks in perhaps you’ll start to feel better.
I’m in all day today nothing much going on thank goodness I get carers coming in 4 times a day I get a great crack with them. My twin sister who lives with me is in the cream puff she didn’t speak to me all day yesterday she’s so like our mother I can’t think why I allowed her to stay, we’re always falling out and I get so cross with her.

Chimney sweep this morning, more bloods to be taken midday and housework today.
I tidied out the greenhouse on Wednesday, I’d like to sell it but no interest so far for my Facebook advert so will advertise more widely. I’d like a summerhouse instead so will see how things go.

Good morning from Durham - a dry windy day is forecast.
I’ve had ‘a week and a half’ dealing with my hypochondriac friend - I’m convinced she has Munchausens.
Meanwhile, I’m still coughing although it’s getting a bit more productive.
Coffee with a friend this morning then a Mothers Day thing at DD2’s nursery. DD2 is in Glasgow, so I’m substitute.

Morning all, I have just made the 9yr old an egg & bacon and for his breakfast, now sorting his packed lunch.

Off to the gym first thing, a quick cup of tea with gym pals afterwards. Then it’s home time. School pick up afterwards time for a shower and hair wash, put on the glamour ready for going out to dinner with two sons and their families for an early Mothering Sunday treat.
