Good morning from a dull a drizzly Black Country, where it is also quite chilly.

MrJ is in Bristol doing jobs for his DD’s in their new house. I am making a red velvet cake & biscoff cheesecake to take to DD’s tomorrow.

DD is hosting family tomorrow for Mothering Sunday. I have also just made a Lasagne for DD for their Monday evening meal.

Morning from a dry cloudy S Hants, newspaper day. Yesterday was quiet, MrJ was at work and a very pleasant Tesco man bought the shopping trays in.
I’m going to sit in my car and try out my dodgy knee later, just in the driveway. rugby to watch, MrJ will be rooting for Ireland to slam the tournament.
While I trundle on, others are struggling 🥀.

Good morning from a sunny 8 degrees Fenland. Not much planned today, need to cut DH hair after breakfast then he is planning to cut lawns and me change the bed and bit of housework. We may then do a trip out shopping before returning to watch rugby later. Tomorrow DD2 is meeting us with GC for a Sunday lunch out to celebrate Mother’s Day together. DD1 cannot be with us but is celebrating with her family and we will get together hopefully in another couple of weeks.

I’m sorry to those suffering and hope today is an easier day for all.

So sad Susan to hear about your DD friend life can he so cruel.

Good morning from a bright but chilly South Downs - rain forecast later.

Yesterday I managed to open up the little water feature and was amazed to find frogs and other wildlife. The next is to decide on a new pump for the waterfall.

I had sad news yesterday that my elderly aunt is dying. She had so many lived memories, including the war, Palestine/Israel (her husband was an officer in the British army and she lived in a tent with her baby son in the Middle East!) and then life in Canada, before returning to the U.K. when she was widowed- we have been very close all my life - I shall miss her.

A very good morning all from the east coast of Fife where the wind has been blowing all night long. My lady gardener put the primulas into the garden yesterday along the grass verge they look gorgeous. She’s such a busy lady she also does my ironing for me her kind husband has just put ash felt up on my shed roof it had come off in the wind. They’re both a lovely couple I’m so blessed.

Marydoll delighted you are getting to grips with the automatic car, I don't know that I would be driving now without mine.

Good morning everyone from a very bright and sunny 🌞Northampton, set to remain so all day, hooray, as I shall be at live rugby this afternoon!
My team, Northampton Saints are playing a friendly exhibition match against the Stormers, a team from Cape Town, South Africa. Funnily enough, this time last year I was in Cape Town and could see their massive stadium from my hotel room window!

After that I have been invited to DD's for a take-away and to stay overnight, and then tomorrow to go shopping at Rushden Lakes - happy days!
So I have to do a few things before that including packing my overnight bag.

Good morning from Glasgow. High winds and dreich days have returned.

Although I had a fairly decent sleep the night before, when I woke yesterday morning I felt anything but refreshed, I went back to bed after breakfast and slept for 8 hours! DD1 had arrived but she and DH decided to let me sleep. Didn’t realise how tired I was but just keeping going must have caught up with me. Waitrose today then.

Grandmabatty, I have only suffered with sinusitis once and remember how painful it was. I tried everything to cure it without any luck until my dentist recommended a homeopathic treatment called Kali Bich. It began working almost instantly and by day two I was pain free.

Hoping a good Saturday is ahead for all, especially those with worries and illness.

Marydoll, I haven’t driven a manual car for years and I would never drive one again. Happy driving a much more enjoyable experience in your new car.

Good morning from a grey but dry NE.
GD1 passed her driving test yesterday, we ,are all over the moon for her.
Sister and BIL will visit this afternoon and we will put the world to rights. DS and family will visit too.
A beautiful floral arrangement was delivered on Thursday, it was from DD in Brussels. The florist could only promise that it would arrive by Saturday, the shop is just down the road so I must have been first on the list.

I’m very worried about MrB, he is going to contact the GP on Monday and I think it will be a quiet weekend.

After a very jolly day yesterday I have no plans at all for the weekend and little motivation either. Grey skies again and a wet forecast for the next few days are depressing to say the least so I need to take myself severely in hand and stop wallowing. There is always the pile of accumulated filing to give meaning to the day!

Good morning from a grey dark morning in central Scotland. We had a lovely night at Gd2's theatre show last night. It was Dr Dolittle where she was a lobster that Dr Dolittle didn't know the language to speak to but wanted to learn. Instead of the usual costumes the animals were made out of wicker and were life size. They were made by a very talented lady from near Perth. The children held them in front of them but still had speaking or animal noise parts. Very environmentally friendly! Quiet days planned today best wishes to all.

Morning, all! I got as far as Bellasnana's post but it ambushed me – not your fault, B! just thoughts regarding daughter appreciation.

I am sorting, sorting, sorting. Just sat down with a cup of tea and two chocolates for a rest, and also so I can take a couple of aspirin for shoulder, arm and hand aches – hangover from hedging for the first time in a year, swimming, humping heavy bags and boxes over the last couple of days. The co-codamol I take for scoliosis aches is not working on my upper body. I think I'm also dealing with a bit of a cold, the end bit thankfully.

"Mothercare" is a lovely way of putting it 🥰. Much nicer than plain old Mothers' Day.

Good morning all. Cold and grey again on the Angus coast with the odd shower of rain thrown in for joy. But the washing is being hung out, so there!
Sorry for all the end-of-winter blues and bugs that seem to abound amongst us just now. This time of year can feel so dismal, but then you look at the fattening buds and the spring flowers and it becomes such a hopeful time of year as well.
I met up with my niece for a blether yesterday - it was so good to catch up with all her news. She's off 'over the pond' to LA again for a couple of weeks in April (it's her s-i-l who is song writer to not a few stars over there). She lives a totally different life while she's over there! I'm looking forward to our next catch-up to get the low down 😉

As I was writing this, a gorgeous bouquet of flowers arrived from DS1, so first happy task of the day is now to arrange them. Such a hard life!

Have been out and picked up a leg of lamb for lunch tomorrow. We had a lovely meal with two sons and their families last night, scrummy food and fabulous company, I am a lucky lady.

In the hairdressers having my roots done. I can’t seem to get warm…
Nice meal yesterday with art group, it was our jolly tutor’s birthday so we treated her.
Son FaceTimed me in the evening and was going to come round. (25 miles away but I was dropping off under my heated throw so put him off as I was going to bed.

Drama today is my IPad has conked out and this is on my phone. I have so many important things on my IPad, hope I can get it sorted soon.

Good morning Mick and all from a gloomy grey West Cheshire. Not long now until we emerge from this long wet winter and begin to enjoy some warm and sunny days. The daffodils are busy doing a grand job of heralding the beginnings of better days.
Off to Anglesey tomorrow for a Mother’s Day lunch thanks to gorgeous daughter-in-law.
Very much looking forward to a touristy trip to London on Tuesday. Lucky me.

Good morning everyone from a very rainy Algarve.Despite it raining nonstop the last couple of weeks the forecasters are complaining of drought conditions.

DH is having a difficult time trying to get back to normal after his colon operation. In a way I’ve been helped by Michael’s difficulties last year as I realise he had problems for six months or more.

I’m doing my best to keep up with you all and all the sadness and thankfully joys that life brings.

One such ‘problem’ is the little dog in the photograph, he is a stray who is determined to move in with us. It’s a long story but when he turned up in January we all (SiL and DGS were visiting) thought that he’d got out from his loving home. Now I think that it’s more likely that he’d been dumped as he became more of a nuisance to his owners.

After over twenty years of saying that we don’t want/ are too old to have another dog, this little one has managed to get us buying dog food again. At first he only turned up every morning and we thought that he got let out or put out when his owners went to work. But towards the end of February SiL was here with DD1 for a week and on their very last day succumbed and bought a tin of dog food.
