We have two sons, our older son has three children so they always do something special for our DIL who deserves it as she works so hard, he came to see me yesterday with the three grandchildren and they brought me cards and gifts and lots of hugs and kisses which was the best part, they are all taller than me now. We used to do something with our younger son’s in laws as we are very close to them but they are still grieving my DIL’s father and DIL is recovering from breast cancer so will be spending the day quietly with DIL’s mother, however son and DIL spent the afternoon with us yesterday and brought a card and gifts. I agree Mother’s Day has always been a big thing here, I remember buying my Mum flowers, freesias were her favourites or a brooch from Woolworths.
