Tonight William and Harry are delivering award in recognition of their mother in what seems to be a carefully choreographed event, that keeps them apart. But….
Today Meghan has announced her new ventures and whilst William is being centre stage, the Sussexes (?) have announced a large cash award from archewell.

Why? Do they not realise that people know that the timing is deliberate. Who is driving this spiteful behaviour. It’s all so unnecessary in my humble opinion.

I’ll retire behind settee now with my tin hat on awaiting the chorus of oh no not Meghan and Harry again!

Who are the five Jaberwok?

I am thinking Anne, Beatrice, Eugenie, Alexandra, Charlotte?

So is Lilibet in the list now? If so, that’s six isn’t it?

American Riviera Orchard was launched on Thursday 14th March, The Diana awards were on the 15th. No clash.

“To then think that the system itself is the problem is the only logical step.”

The “system” as you put it Glorianny has only failed two people in the last 100 years…Edward VIII and Meghan Markle - and i suspect any system, not of their own devising, would have failed them given their personalities.

So Andrew is OK then? Bit of people trafficking, best friends with a convicted paedophile and as long as you keep quiet it's OK . Some people have funny ideas about who failed.

He's not the Monarch.

No-one objects to H&M earning their own money. What is objectionable is the way they use the royal connection they affect to despise to publicise their merchandising, which they were asked not to do after they left Britain.
It was no coincidence that MM appeared promoting her 'goods' at the same time as William was making a public appearance in Britain to promote a charitable endeavour.

This 👍

Nor is Meghan Markle.

Is it despising a "royal connection" to complain about the way you were treated? Should people just put up with poor treatment and toe the line? I thought we got past that years ago.

You've swallowed the fibs 😁

Everyone bent over backwards to welcome Meghan to the family, she was given extensive training in the protocols and even their house was refurbished at considerable public expense.

Amazing how some people know exactly what happened. Perhaps the protocols didn't fit her. She wasn't happy, why should she have to change to fit in?
They paid for Frogmore.

It isn't just M who fibs is it?

Are you unaware of time differences , Glorianny?

It was done exactly the same time

Do keep up

merlotgran Mon 18-Mar-24 16:33:33

They paid for Frogmore.

Only after they’d flounced and British taxpayers quite rightly pointed out that they’d forked out for the renovations.

Yes, some people really do.

Pantglas2 Mon 18-Mar-24 16:35:09

They only paid after they decided to leave when they saw the public outcry and loss of good will at their behaviour.

After which they left with most people’s blessing for the quiet, royal free life they said they wanted…that lasted didn’t it?

Callistemon21 Mon 18-Mar-24 16:35:49

Are you admitting some of your posts are not exactly based on truth?

No but I don't try to twist things by posting partial truths like some-not recognising that they repaid the Frogmore cost for example. Now why would someone do that?

Pantglas2 Mon 18-Mar-24 16:57:10

You’re the one twisting things Glorianny, by making out they paid the costs of renovating and refurbishing Frogmore from the outset. They only refunded the cost when they left - doesn’t sound quite as worthy does it?

Yes it is despicable to use connections with a family you have traduced for the purpose of making money for yourselves. Neither received poor treatment or was made to toe the line, and both were perfectly free to leave. They were not allowed to be part-time royals and that is what they so bitterly resent.

Now who's posting partial truths? No mention that they only agreed to repay the enormous costs of fitting Frogmore out to their specific tastes after the outcry at the waste of public funds. That wouldn't paint them quite so saintly would it?

She cannot be princess same as Sarah and Diana

Nonetheless, those calling for Harry and Meghan to be stripped of their titles are missing the point and risk a head-on collision with Cape Counterproductive.

Deprived of the Dukedom of Sussex, the couple would become more elevated still, as they would revert to being Prince Harry and Princess Harry, titles that can never be removed, as they are part of the Prince’s inalienable birthright, and a prince always trumps a duke, due in part to the scarcity of such handles.

Their website, which now boasts the name sussex.com, a commercialisation that some say crosses the line, at least in spirit, of their agreement with the Palace, might then read princeandprincessharry.com, which, though a mouthful, would be even worse (as would windsor.com), implying that they are the world’s preeminent royalty, and that Meghan is a bona fide American princess.

Anniebach Mon 18-Mar-24 19:06:56

Yes lemsip the same as princess Michael of Kent,

I think you're right, lemsip.
