For me the sun was shining managed a lovely walk. While walking saw a squirrel and lots of butterflies and birds. Stopped to chat to several people as the sun brought more people outdoors and it felt like spring is finally getting here.

My dog has spring fever this morning, he’s been racing round the garden in circles like a mad thing, just for the joy of life.

Close relative diagnosed with cancer, so felt down this morning.

However had a walk along Low Newton beach in Northumberland with my dog in the sunshine this afternoon. Threw the ball for her, and she made me laugh at her antics.

Singing Fauré’s Requiem last night and also listening to the rest of the concert- for free.
Now I am listening to some Early Music on Radio 3.

Sitting out in the sunshine with a cup of coffee after giving the lawn its first cut. Hard work in places! 😳

Fauré’s Requiem

Lucky thing, its one of my favourites.

A man walking 20 yards ahead of me this morning allowed his dog to soil the pavement and I mumbled obscenities about him all the way into the shop for my paper.

On my way back he nipped out of his house with a poo bag in his hand and picked up the mess….he’d simply forgotten to take one with him! It cheered me up no end 🙂

Nearly two year old gd is talking more and more and can’t pronounce papa (what the grands call my husband) and follows him about hollering for uppa! And is the most darling thing

Next doors cat.
He comes into our yard and waits until we open the door, then strolls in, has a look round, purrs when we fuss him, then leaves happily with his tail up.Such a gorgeous cat, black with a white bib and socks.

We took one of our hens to the vet as she has the most dreadful treading injury. I didn't expect to be bringing her back alive but she was given an injection and has perked up. She has 3 more injections to be given but at least she has a chance, I thought she was doomed! This made me happy.

hahaha what cheered me up was the frank discussion about connstipation on another thread. I dont usually discuss medical conditions.

My GD (5) sending her count down calendar showing when they arrive for Easter and then "2 mor sleps Nanny ".

Kate1949 Tue 26-Mar-24 14:11:24

Our 5 year old next door neighbour came to the door with her mum to thank me for an Easter egg I had given her mum for her. They are Muslim and obviously don't celebrate Easter but they bring us sweets round at Eid. This child, who hides behind her mum usually when we see her, had the biggest smile on her face as she came round clutching the egg. She said 'Thank you SO much for my egg'. It gladdened my heart. smile

Kate 1949 that would have made my day too. I adore children and love to see them smiling.

Callistemon21 Tue 26-Mar-24 17:00:31

This morning I was woken very early by a blackbird singing away only just outside in the garden. He was very musical and sounded cheerful; it made me think that there are some good things happening in the world.

Callistemon21 Tue 26-Mar-24 17:01:56

And a lovely man came to give the lawns their first cut smile

midgey Tue 26-Mar-24 17:03:21

My washing has fried and I’ve mown my lawn. The joy of a striped lawn! ( Even if it mostly moss!)

My nephew came round to sort out a small problem with my roof - he wouldn’t take payment so I “paid” him in freshly baked scones! He said it was better than money! He ate two and I gave him the rest to take home.
