Another trip to the charity shop I have a bag of books to drop off then a small shop not much needed this week.

I tried nematodes once Karma They were expensive and didn't work.
I now either go out with a torch and rubber gloves to collect the blighters aka slugs or leave them to make great compost.

I grow tender plants where I can keep an eye on them in the greenhouse or in a raised bed.

Yoga this morning and maybe ceilidh dancing tonight. It's the Helpers last day.

Good morning from a bright and mild Essex coast. We also get plagued with gull poo, not a pretty sight all over the cars.

Food shopping this morning and I think we may be going out to lunch later.

I received some lovely pictures of DD1 and family's new puppy that they will be getting at the beginning of April. Such a cutie. I need to make arrangements to go and visit whilst he is still a bundle of fluff. DD2 says he looks like a teddy bear.

Morning Mick, morning All from a grey and dismal corner of Somerset.

Disappointed yesterday to hear the previously responsive and helpful carpenters can’t adjust the bedroom doors to account for the new carpet. Or rather they can - but not for several weeks. It’s thrown me more than it should, little things seem to at the moment. On the positive side the steroid injection was more uncomfortable than painful and the restorative scone on the way home delicious.

Trundling around this morning before trying to find someone who won’t wreck the doors to do what is needed. It would matter less if the bedroom wasn’t opposite the front door, first thing anyone calling sees. The doors are also very heavy and we struggle to move them. Minor I know in the scheme of things, I need to find my positive head which has gone walkabout.

Good luck with the MRI susan, I know you’ll be fine. My latest experience was very, very unusual. A vote here for the optician grandmattie, eyes are so important. Sounds another good day ahead urms. If you or anyone could send a sunny day I’m sure I’d feel a whole heap more positive.

Visit to the opticians I think, grandmattie - these things always need looking at after an op. Isn't it lovely how your neighbours are rallying round you and cheering you up. An example of how bad things (the scam, not your neighbours!) can lead to good.

GM, glad you are seeking advice. It happened to me and my DIL, an optician phoned the local branch of her company and they saw me immediately. It may be nothing, but can indicate something more sinister, so best to get it checked.

Good morning all it’s a dry, dull and very windy day here on the east coast of Fife.

My old school chum came for her tea last night we had a chicken kiev, baby potatoes, peas from M&S, it was delicious I even had a yogurt.

I had the cheek to have a buttered hot cross bun for my late night cup of tea, porky pig comes to mind.

We watched Mrs Harris from Paris it was a great film worth watching

Ashcombe what a mess on your car! Seagulls have done a similar job on my kitchen window. Gingster I wish your dd all the best. Poor girl is having such a hard time. Marydoll a happy birthday to your ds. Brook safe journey to Edinburgh and then to Switzerland. Susan fingers crossed that the MRI is quick. I hope it isn't too distressing for you.
Yesterday I did housework in the morning and had a lazy afternoon. Dd popped in on her way from the office to give me a homemade stuffed cookie. Oh my, it was delicious.
I had a very bad night, last night. Probably as a result of the cookie! I'm not sure what I'll get up to today. I think I'll potter. If I convince myself that's what I'm doing, I can achieve quite a lot. I'll have to walk to Aldi for something for dinner later. Have a good day all.

Another grey morning and a disappointing day ahead. Yesterday I felt so dizzy that I didn’t do any of the things I had planned and won’t be singing in our concert later today. I have had this before and it usually clears in a day or two but am frustrated by it. Moving very slowly and lying down seem best but hardly productive. Very tiresome. Not in the same league as so many and I know from experience that it will pass.

Good morning from an overcast Lanzarote, heavy rain overnight has dried, hopefully the sun will come out later.
I hope everyone can sit down this evening with a sigh of relief that the day is over, hopefully everything not as bad as it seems this morning.

Regardless of the weather, I must do a Waitrose shop for basics at least as it’s difficult to guess what DH may or may not feel like having. I hate waste but eating for two isn’t the best solution. I will meet up with my cousin and once shopping is done we will have a coffee in their cafe. Living the high life. 😁

Good morning Mick and everyone from a grey and rather rainy Carlisle. I think we are due for a day of showers with an occasional glint of sun.
Today, one or two small jobs and a Tesco delivery at lunchtime. I've drawn up a long list of occasional tasks that need doing and will decide on one to take in hand....quite possibly won't happen today though! Especially as I've started a new book...although I dumped a bag full of things at the charity shop, I couldn't resist a page turner at a mere £1.50. Incidentally, I paid £5 for one from the same author in Surrey recently, no wonder I couldn't afford to move there and am in Carlisle instead!

Good morning everyone from a cloudy Northampton; got up early in readiness for the gardener only to find a message on my phone to say he was feeling fluey with a temperature and wouldn't be coming. I may have to tackle the long grass myself.....

My wine evening went very well yesterday, wine and food much appreciated by all. Unfortunately my oven seems to have given up the ghost, as I found out when I went to take out the sausage rolls that had been warming up - they were still cold. Luckily the top oven was ok. Shall have to ring an engineer; hopefully my appliance insurance will cover it.

Nothing planned today except tidying up after last night, and a Sainsbury's delivery late morning.

Satisfying day yesterday, DS and DD helped to clear stuff from the garage, old freezer, cooker, chairs etc taken to the tip in a van and we had a valuer come to look at furniture, paintings and silver I’m going to sell.

Chicken salad with DS in the evening, DD out with friends and I read the next bookgroup choice.
I’m off to the south with DD tomorrow so will organise my bag etc.

I had two eye haemorrhages recently grandmattie, I thought it might be my high blood pressure. At routine yearly check up, my optician said it was nothing to worry about unless I kept having them.
Thoughts to all with worries 🌺

Good morning from a cloudy but fairly warm East Midlands. Just sent off another dog blanket for Battersea cats/dogs home. Have a lovely safe and healthy day everyone.

A very late good morning from the NE where it is damp underfoot but not actually raining.
I slept in after a busy day yesterday, shopping then dental check up, all good except for a little crack in one tooth but no treatment for now.
After the dentist SIL took me to the optician to collect my new glasses, they were fine. Called in M&S as it is opposite the optician and got some cakes and tasty bits for dinner.
I was exhausted and so was SIL as he is not sleeping well. We had an early dinner and he left fairly soon after. He is having a bit of building work done on his place so will be busy for a few days.
DD is coming to the UK on Saturday and will be here for her birthday next week.

We have all been there, Utterbliss. It is easy to say Ignore them , but that doesn't help, if you are sensitive like me. It plays on your mind.
Just remember for every unpleasant poster, there are far more kind ones.

Utterbliss - I have had unpleasant posters on here before and I left for a time but decided that they would not spoil it for me. Lots of lovely people on here. X

I have been sensitive all my life, and friends say that is what makes me a good listener to others' woes.

I have reported it. They said they are mentoring it.
