I'm now 50 and we've had 6 border collie each different, 2 Rottweilers, (2 different lines and breeding, though both "highly" bred, the one, so high half its litter mates died within the first 18 months, we were lucky, problems galore and the vet figured out the root cause) Rottie x Collie (fabulous), Kelpie x Collie (my beloved) and the 2 current little miscreants, a Heinz.57 from Spain (insured as Border Terrier X, underwriters had to pick a breed from the photos!!) and rather unexpectedly a Chihuahua! That surprised me as I never thought I (me of all folk) would have a bloody Chihuahua! But I needed a companion for the Scruffy Pup (Heinz 57) and there wasn't anything else, saw photo of Little Black Rat (nickname said with love!) and when I went to pick her up, knew it was meant to be. Knew she was black & tan, why I chose her, but she has a tan line across her nose, just like the Rottie X had and shoulder stripes just like my Kelpie X did, something I noticed the day I picked her up back in 2010. This Chihuahua has markings similar to both my recently lost dogs! Not only that but her black head is now showing tan hairs, just like them. Doesn't answer back though like the Kelpie, Scruffy Pup does that (spent 6 months with the old girl, who probably told her to keep up the backchat!)
MY favourites are those I've had, always wanted a Dalmatian but seeing how costs have gone up over the years, probably never will now. I would like another, but at this moment, cant, 1 because I can't afford another and 2, 2's company, 3's a crowd.
