I do like her. Plucky is the word that comes to mind.

I will upset Sarah fans, have listened to many of her interviews,
I don’t like her, she has always used the royal family to make money, not for revenge in fairness to her. Her love of the camera is so annoying too, her first public appearance last Christmas , dashing to grab flowers with Anne, Princess of Wales,Sophie, working royals

No excuse for press intrusion Mollygo

👏👏👏

I don’t mind SF at all and a reliable source told me she is very scatty, but likeable in RL, as we can tell.
However, whoever said we should adopt Holland’s approach, King, heir and nothing at all for the rest of the family has my agreement.

No excuse for press intrusion Mollygo

I can’t think of much that justifies press intrusion of the kind people in the public eye are exposed to. Criminal or abusive activity ?

Mollygo Wed 03-Apr-24 11:47:28

I didn’t specify you Anniebach, except as part of the news reading public, but I did ask if you feel it excuses the press intrusion.
So do you?

Anniebach Wed 03-Apr-24 11:44:21

I am not desperate for something to criticise, I read posts which praise and criticise, i listen and add to the thread

Mollygo Wed 03-Apr-24 11:36:50

Anniebach

Sarah admitted it was true
Do you feel that excuses the press intrusion or the news reading public’s desperation for something to criticise?

Anniebach Wed 03-Apr-24 11:18:50

Family life ? Sarah admitted it was true. At the time I felt sorry for her, she was staying with her inlaws when it hit the front pages. She has over the years spoke of various reasons for the affair

It was unfortunate the photograph of Sarah, topless, having her
toes sucked whilst her children watched hit the front pages.

Unfortunate that the press were intrusive on somebody’s family life and that the public were keen to see it and comment on it.
Unkind on both parts.

I have some photos as I’m really grateful the press were never around to take.

But the. . . had it been photoshopped? We’ll never know.

My views on Sarah changed this week after listening to some of her many tv interviews.

There were probably no long-lens cameras back in those days 😁

BigBertha1 Wed 03-Apr-24 10:49:54

I quite like Fergie. She has stood by Andrew in spite of everything and she keeps battling on. She only went to church for goodness sake I think that's allowed without criticism or comment.

Where have you seen photographs Prince Phillip in a compromising situation Callistemon ?

Callistemon21 Wed 03-Apr-24 10:28:33

Still, honourable Andrew loves her and they are both being rehabilitated into the public eye by a forgiving monarch. It's the king's family and his decision to make.

Not really.
Andrew can be forgiven and taken back into the bosom of the family if the family wish and seen attending family events but not on public duty.

I think it was just Prince Philip who decided Sarah's behaviour was unforgivable 🤔 (ironic).

Parsley3 Wed 03-Apr-24 10:24:06

Sarah always seemed to me to be out of her depth as a Royal. I remember that she was even criticised by the old school royals for the way she walked down the aisle. Still, honourable Andrew loves her and they are both being rehabilitated into the public eye by a forgiving monarch. It's the king's family and his decision to make.

Anniebach Tue 02-Apr-24 21:09:22

She hasn’t been criticised as a mother on this thread

LOUISA1523 Tue 02-Apr-24 21:04:30

Shes been a good mum....Her girls adore her...you can see from photos and video footage ....she doest offend me in the slightest

Anniebach Tue 02-Apr-24 21:01:21

Anniebach Tue 02-Apr-24 20:52:55

Yes he did , not for money, the country asking

merlotgran Tue 02-Apr-24 20:52:28

I think Andrew did a famous interview?

So famous, a Netflix drama has been made about it.

Anniebach Tue 02-Apr-24 20:41:03

Andrew does not give interviews , appear on chat shows or Oprah , he is constantly criticised.

Why Charles ?

She's a bit too full of herself for my liking. She caused the RF a huge amount of embarrassment in the past. I don't mind her being seen at family events but wish she would keep a low profile.

I think you'll find the RF have caused themselves a great deal of embarrassment over the years and really don't need any help in that department. Anyway, why is her behaviour any worse than Charles' or Andrew's? Different standards for women maybe?

Desdemona Tue 02-Apr-24 17:55:10

I read somewhere (I'm sure I did!) that King Charles has given his blessing for a remarriage between Andrew and Sarah if they choose to?
