I think the biggest April Fool of all is the Americanisation of the whole day! Whenever characters in television programmes shout out 'April Fool's' with an 's' it really grinds my gears!

That really gets me going as well!

I saw the Dr Who one where the new Dr Who was only doing 2 series then Matt Smith was coming back. A few others too.

There’s a BA Jumbo Jet at the local tiny airfield here - advertising a new routing to New York, as much food and drink as you want, plus unlimited baggage allowance.

The aircraft is actually part of the museum - and grounded!

Students in rows, all facing the teacher and the board is still the best way to teach and to keep the attention of the pupils. And to maintain discipline. Private schools still teach this way - maybe that goes towards their better results.

I can’t help thinking that one of the puzzles in today’s Times is an April Fool - the polygon, that I do every day, where you have to make words out of given letters.

Normally it’s (scores), say 11 or 12 average, 15/16 good, 20/21 very good, 30+ excellent.

Today’s is 1, average, 2 good, 3 very good, 4 excellent.
Got to be a spoof, hasn’t it?

The Spaghetti Harvest was the best ever! It worked so well because Richard Dimbleby, who did the report, was normally a very serious authoritative broadcaster,

surely it won't get through the House of Lords.. this is the case in states of America where people can be incarcerated in prison for being homeless.. it just doesn't bear thinking about.. The sooner we get Sunak out the better
