It’s been another gorgeous sunny day here, I’ve dried lots of washing outside, mowed the lawn and tried to tackle the weeds. I also called into DD2s and helped her with a bit more sorting out and packing boxes - there’s still an awful lot more to do yet though 🤦‍♀️
grandmabatty you’ll be exhausted, hopefully an early night will work wonders

Made it to the rhododendron wood - eventually - the sat nav was sacked! A beautiful, peaceful place where the loudest sound was bird song.

Great news * Urmston*.

Another late visit, been watching an old film with MrB. It’s been a beautiful sunny day again here. Bedding changed, washed and dried in the sun. I’m now tucked up in lovely fresh bedding from the airing cupboard, there’s just something so wonderful about cool fresh sheets!

MrB took some of the fruits of my decluttering to the tip. He has also been tending the salad crops, all coming along nicely. Looking forward to tasty summer meals.

All this may sound dull as ditchwater but it’s heaven to me after recent health problems 😊

I would have fallen asleep by now GrandmaBatty!

Good afternoon kitchen pals, it’s a lovely sunny warm day here in Inverness.
I’ve definitely caught the washing bug, the washer has been on non-stop with all the bedding and various winter throws and blankets all sorted and washed too.
I am off out soon to DD2s to continue helping with the sorting out. Her ex partner seems to have just left it all to her so there’s lots to do. She’s also working full-time so it’s only getting done bit by bit…. 🤦‍♀️
There’s nothing like clean fresh bedding is there blossoming , I’ll be having that exact same feeling later tonight

Urms, I’m absolutely thrilled to hear your news! As you know, I have much reason to empathise with you and do hope you, MrU and all the family slept deeply and well last night. ❤️

I’m finally here at my son’s in America. The less said about a journey that meant we were up for 24hrs straight and in which I was in receipt of 10 boarding passes, not all of which were used, the better. At least it wasn’t that Singapore Airlines flight, poor souls.

Just a quick visit to say Brook you have a spectacular garden. What beautiful colours.

Phew. The boys are home and I have had a cuppa and a thin slice of Battenburg cake. I have been a whirling dervish and put away all the garden toys and house toys, some of which were planned under my pillow. A dolly needs to sleep you know 😂. Gammon again tonight with more jersey royal spuds and purple sprouting broccoli. And then I shall do nothing. Enjoy your evening Kitcheners.
