Do you have any recommendations for great service e.g. solving problems with online orders, speed of delivery etc?

Today I ordered some dressmaking fabrics from Legend Textiles. My order was confirmed at 12.31pm and on its way at 12.51pm. Astonishing!

The reason Amazon is able to provide such fast service is their appalling treatment of their warehouse staff and drivers. I’d rather wait an extra day or so for my items and know that the people responsible for getting them to me have had lunch and bathroom breaks.

I know two people who work for Amazon.
One is in the warehouse, he has no complaints.
One is on a zero hours delivery contract: he can log in to see what 4-hour slots are available, fixed fee paid, and choose when to work.
Once he turned up at the depot to be told he wasn't needed after all, but they still paid him.

I have to mention Royal Mail - for this at least! I use them a lot for Click and Drop, for the items I make for a service that distributes them to children’s therapists all over the U.K.

Postman collects the parcels for free and in virtually every case they have arrived - from SW London to rural E Yorks - the very next day.

I have to recommend Not Another Bunch of Flowers I ordered a personalised mug for my GD and it was delivered 36hrs later. It’s a great site that started with gifts for cancer patients but now does so much more. I have used them a number of times with excellent service.

I would just add Smyth’s Toys. Only ordered for a Gdd’s birthday this morning - already had an email to say the courier has it. I’ve found them very quick before.
Plus the item was cheaper than from either Amazon or John Lewis.
