I've started job hunting after quite a long time. The job centre gave me the phone number of a careers adviser. I said I've absolutely no computer skills, I've only got use of my phone. She said " I'll send you a link to do an online course " hmm

There are a lack of people working in the childcare sector. As far as I know. Which have got worse with the new government childcare entitlements.

I do not know how old biscuitcruncher is, but childcare is a job for the young and fit. All that bending to small people lifting, carrying etc.

My mil was a reception class teacher for over 30 years and it knackered her spine and after she retired she had severe sciatica and back problems for the rest of her life. All attributed, by her doctor to bending over to 5 year olds throughout her teaching career.
