Is there an opposite to sods law? One which recognises that actually, most of the time, clean water comes out of the taps, kettles boil, the roof stays on the house, the dishwasher does work.......and more. Any suggestions for a name for things going ok whether we notice or not? I do understand the frustration when something does go wrong, but it would be good to have a phrase for when good things happen and go on happening.
For some reason we love to talk about things which don't work for us - and I understand because if my washing machine, for instance, breaks down, it does cause me real frustration.
But to an extent our world - the world in our minds - is made by what we look for, and what we look for we tend to find. So how about a name for the opposite of Sod's law? To help us look for and find good things to be grateful for, which we might otherwise take for granted.
Here are some ideas: Gal's Law (Gratitude & Appreciation for what is Lovely); Log's Law (Look Out for what's Good); Grans Law (We on GN know how to look for what is good and be grateful!) What do you think? any ideas? It would make a great thread - things we are grateful for, and a name to go with it!
