New style M&S

Any publicity is good publicity? It’s got us all talking about it!!

I still get my basic items from M&S but find it harder to find summer tops that are not almost as long as tunics.
I tend to ignore the advertisements completely and just browse the website.

You have to give them marks for trying!
They are obviously trying to move away from their frumpy clothes image.

Some of their clothes are great just now!

It’s interesting, because the new range at M&S is the best it’s been for many years, and there is a lot of stuff that’s age appropriate for older women (as you said unfix1 the trousers are excellent, really good quality and fit), I love their shirts too at the moment. They are obviously trying to appeal to the young too with this advert, which isn’t their traditional clientele.

I suppose they have to waste their money ‘rebranding’, trying to appeal to different people, like so many, and forgetting those who may have a higher disposable income. I don’t remember when they last appealed to me, and this certainly won’t do it. I will happily admit to being another old misery who will spend their grey pound elsewhere.

They are targeting their brand at the wrong people. It could actually be quite easy to target their brand but I think fashion often ignores the needs and wants of older people (ie above 45)!

Could the trousers double up as a dwelling place?

I'm sure they could.
People could camp in them at festivals, at least.

No it's not. It's so much better. Even if you don't dance your way through your day. I wish I still had the legs to wear that shorts suit.

This is just how I used to behave in the privacy of my bedroom with a hairbrush for a microphone when I was thirteen, wearing my new frock!

Despite the annoying advert the current range of M&S trousers are brilliant. Unfortunately I'm currently on Steriods for Polymyalgia Rhumatica and I've ballooned- hey ho!

This outfit is wrong on sooooo many levels I don’t know where to begin.
I do like the white dress, though.

Yes, very annoying and NOT at all 'inclusive' for want of a better word. She is of a certain size and build, extremely agile and compared to those I see in our store I don't think she portrays much of the image of typical M&S customer
