Good morning from Durham. Grey here again with rain forecast later again.
Today, I feel much better - I can only think I had a 48hr virus? Still no appetite and even tea tastes odd.
Unfortunately my friend has postponed coffee today until tomorrow, but another friend says she’s free.
Gardeners expected sometime today - I keep missing them, but I’m just happy they’ve been.

Good morning Mick and all from sunny Lancashire, currently 6°C.

Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day, I was able to get some laundry done and put away. I also went for a half hour walk and did my physio exercises with special attention to balance.

MrB is still having random dizzy spells but not as severe. He is doing really well with his healthier eating and daily walks and has lost 4 stones.

Today I’ll be doing a little more decluttering, usual physio and an afternoon walk.

Good morning from a dry but chilly NE.
Got all the shopping done with my friend yesterday, her DH dropped us off at the door then came back later to pick us up.
He just got the car the day before and it had that lovely new leather upholstery smell inside. He had their young GD in the car and she had sorted his sat nav for him while they were waiting for us 😆
Long phone call with my sister last night, she is off to the Lakes for two days with some walking friends.
Quiet day for me, just need to sort out the recycling and maybe cook a meal today instead of a ready meal.

Morning all from South Lanarkshire (I’m fed up writing ‘dull, grey etc but it is both)

Good fun yesterday with our Glesca Grans’ meet-up, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks to those who had quite a journey to get there, they add greatly to the day.

Coffee this morning with a local friend then an organising day, badly needed but probably fairly ineffectual, it is not my strength.

Glad your roof continues to behave Grammaretto, hope that’s it sorted.

Visit from the chiropodist due at lunch time and then must make a start on clearing the kitchen for the painter at the weekend. Emptying the dresser is the biggest task and am not quite sure where to put everything - three large laundry baskets will help but if they are too heavy I can’t lift them so much trotting between rooms with small amounts of china seems inevitable. Once finished it will be a job well done and worth the effort.

Good morning Mick and everyone from greyish, brightish Carlisle where I believe rain is forecast. It was a cold night, my birdbath is frozen solid and the car windscreen lightly frosted.

Yesterday, the fencers came and covered the gaps in the palisade fence with more slats, the wind can still come through but will have to zigzag. I now have more privacy when sitting out on the patio. They also turned a side panel on the other side of the house into a narrow gate so I will be able to get the hose out onto the front without constantly going round 3 sides of the house to turn the tap on/off. I'm not that keen on building exercise into my life! It's a good job I haven't yet turned said tap on, I'd been beginning to think it was safe to do so.
Today will be gentle, I had a disturbed night due to the sudden onset of some infection, I'm currently a bit chesty and sniffly and hoping it gets no worse than that. I don't like lying about so I'll have a stab at the ironing. My puritanical streak won't let me loaf around with a book all day.

Supermarket shop needed today after I’ve planned our meals for the next few days. No yarn group this evening as too many people are away so a quiet night in.

Good morning everyone. It's a cool grey start to the day on the Angus coast - 6° - but sunshine is forecast for late afternoon with a giddy high of 11°.
I was later starting yesterday after only about 3 hours' sleep and made the mistake of reading all the posts before posting my own contribution to the thread. I then realised I would have to rush as I was going out - hence no post from me. I had a lovely lunch out with a 'young' friend at the Scottish Antiques Centre which has a really good restaurant attached. We had a lovely wander through the antiques areas - where I recognised many things from my youth and childhood 😱 and then an equally happy browse around the contemporary part. I could have spent a small fortune there! But didn't of course 😇
I'm glad you had a good meetup with the Glesga Grannies Brook and all went well.

I'm off to tai chi in a little while, with no idea what I will do with the class. They've been with me so long that I've shared with them everything I know. We're all looking forward to a visit from an International Instructor in May to give as a different insight.

Good morning all, from a wet Glasgow, where it is only 5°C.

I am exhausted after my jaunt to Glasgow, but what a great meet up it was. From much reminiscing, discussing T.S. Elliot and Yeats poetry to my friends checking that I was wearing matching shoes. ( I was wearing odd earrings), an enjoyable afternoon was spent. We were the last people left in the café bar.

Bonnybanko, we were talking about you yesterday and remembering the Good old days and how we missed your company and that of our friends, who couldn't make it yesterday.
Thank you for the photo of the Burns Supper in Jolly Gee's Edinburgh home. Three of the Glasgow grans ( including me) are in the photos.
I was so stiff and sore, that I soaked in a bath as soon as I got home (I know I shouldn't have, after our discussion) and of course DH had to come and haul me out! 😊

I plan to do little today, apart from going to pick up prescriptions. I forgot to order one. Nineteen repeats all due at different times are becoming more and more difficult to manage and remember and my surgery is very strict about ordering early.

I hope all goes well, with appointments and holidays.

I’m off to my stretch class in just over an hour and then a blood test at the surgery…an annual check on my underactive thyroid well controlled with medication and a condition I’ve had for nearly 50 years.

Hopefully an afternoon in the summer house with a book.

Good morning from North Yorkshire. A cold frosty start here.
I did the power washing yesterday and I. Pleased with the results. The huge bag of slate was delivered for the builder to top up all the paths on Saturday when he comes back from holiday.
Off for coffee with a friend this morning then I might sort out the garden shelves and bench which need sanding and painting or oiling.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 2° and a bit grey looking. Mizuna that reminds me of when I was a librarian in a school and looked after a Japanese girl who was visiting. She made me the most beautiful origami animals as a thank you. Sadly I've lost them in a house move. Brook it was lovely to see you again.
Yesterday was such a nice day. The weather in Glasgow was sunny and it felt quite warm. The company of Glasgow Grans was equally warm. What a lovely group. Last night was a quiet one for me. Sadly I didn't sleep well. It's what I've got used to, but it's still disappointing.
Today I have a chiropodist appointment early. Then an appointment with my lawyer to begin the process of guardianship for mum. I'm not looking forward to it but can see no other way. Needless to say, my brother wants nothing to do with it. Too much effort. Oh well, down to me. Later I'll potter about. Have a good day all.

Yesterday I spent the day with DD and as she was having a ‘good’ day, we went out for lunch. Really enjoyed a bit of normality with her.👍.

Today I have bowls group and later I’ll pick DGD up from school, bring her back for tea and take her to Brownies.

GG . What a shame I missed you in the market. I’m usually there on a Wednesday but DD arrived and things took over.

Good morning from a bright and sunny Black Country, where there is frost on the cars!

Yesterday was a lost day. I had a Shingles jab Tuesday, and by the afternoon started to feel 'off'. Felt terrible yesterday until mid-afternoon, when it started to pass off. So feel almost back to normal now. Never had such a reaction to a jab before. This was the 2nd one, as you have 2 6 months apart.

Thursday walking group this morning, where hopefully it won't rain

Then onto Mum's where we will probably go out to lunch.

Good morning from a possibly sunny though bracing Cornwall. The origami workshop went well yesterday; everyone made a rose and a fox, simple but effective designs. Afterwards I cruised some charity shops and got jewellery and bedding bargains.

Today I'm meeting a friend for coffee. She's going through the mill after her son-in-law died from a stroke so she's dealing with her daughter's and grandsons' adjustments as well as her own grief.

My surgery were fantastic yesterday, responding within hours to a request about a prescription I sent by email. They look after me so well. My daughter needs a break so may come next week to stay and that prompts me to fit in a much-overdue and much-needed trip to my allotment before she arrives.
