we really do need a middle of the night moderator

I've put up a few random posts to start threads moving.
I can always ask for them to be deleted later.
At least I'm a genuine poster!

Yes Elegran, go for it! I've got an empty morning because DH is singing at a wedding today. That has given me an idea.

It would be good if they gave a simple hide thread button instead of having to go into mobile version.

Start a lot threads under AIBU then they will be at the start of the thread list. That is what the offending spammer has done. I shall start some once I have made a cup of coffee and got the brain into gear.

Good advice Elegran. Didn't think of that.

Even getting the offending threads to move down the list out of sight would be a good thing, but many people were so put off by those ones that they. are not posting. Starting lots of new threads on different topics (choose from topic list at www.gransnet.com/forums ) and keeping those topped up would seem the best option.

The worst option is to go onto the thread/threads and post your opinion of the poster who started it/them - that just makes sure that it stays at the top of the list and annoys even more people.

It nearly put me off posting on a thread I wanted to add to this morning, but I just bumbled along and shunted the mess downwards until it gets removed!

I reported them in the middle of the night but they are still there.
Does no-one work at GN at weekends?

Logged on and wondered what was happening!!! Have reported some but when you look at the amount and the continuous posting!!!! It’s a mess!

No one has been hacked, BlueBelle, it’s just some spambots posting. Very annoying, but not as serious as hacking!
