Good Morning Everyone,
Its twilight outside but dry and no doubt cold here in brackley .
Today up a bit earlier than normal as i have a Glaucoma appointment at the Horton in Banbury ,and plan to catch a early bus so I get there with time to spare for form filling etc.
Will get back home after midday to early afternoon .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning Mick and all from a brightening 11° northwest coast. It’s been nice to have washing drying in the open air.

Another quiet day, just a check up at the doctors and I will have a warble warm up for the music club tomorrow. I should get back to some painting and drawing too, need inspiration.

Thoughts to all with troubles and hope your appointments go well Ash and Mick🌺

I don’t know what wakes you all up so early but for me today it was the unmistakable sound of a dog running into the spare room preparing to be SICK .
Fortunately not in the middle of the bed but on a (washable) turtle mat I have repurposed as a bedside rug. Rosie had wolfed down the contents of my food (recycling) caddy which she should not be able to reach -but can. So straight into the machine but what worried me was that I line the caddy with a biodegradable plastic bag and that had gone too.
Huge relief when I found it shredded into tatters on her bed- as is her wont and hopefully she didn’t swallow any of it.
So I went back to bed, back to sleep and only surfaced 45 minutes ago.
Prepping today for tomorrows Arts Society Special Interest Day which I am running. It’s all about Chatsworth - its art treasures, gardens and most famous châtelaine- Debo Duchess of Devonshire.
I am picking the speaker up from the station this afternoon and taking him and two other committee members out to dinner in our local pub tonight. I’ve booked him into a local farmhouse B&B so no stress here!
Wishing you all respite from your pains, a pleasant day and hopefully not webbed feet!

Good morning Mick and all. It is sunny, but cold here.
We have a new GGC, born last Thursday, and he now has a name, he was just Baby B.
This afternoon we are going to a talk in the library. Something to do with a new NHS APP? Hope it means that we can get back to ordering meds on line, and isn't just a sales pitch.
My Baker's cyst is so slowly getting better, but still so painful, and the bruising is something to behold. Not a pretty sight, and has made me feel so poorly.
Looking forward to Mizuna coming back, as I enjoy reading her posts.
Marydoll. I must check my calendar, those pesky appointments come so fast.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning Mick and all from an overcast cloudy Lancashire, currently 9°C.

Yesterday I got on with some admin, usual physio and a pleasant afternoon walk down to the river . Today will be much the same.

I hope your hospital appointments go well Mick and Ash.

Happy Monday, may the day treat you all kindly 🌻

Taichinan Mon 22-Apr-24 09:09:31

Good morning all. 9° rising to 11° on the Angus coast and we can expect to see the sun at sunset, but the main event is just a gentle breeze thank goodness.
I hope the medical appointments go well Mick and Ash.
Bluesapphire what a wonderful holiday you are having! I have a photo somewhere taken of me at the top of the Rock, our two little boys with me feeding the apes and featuring my 7-month pregnancy bump! How I dragged that up there I can't remember! And I find it difficult to believe that I had another two months' growth to go - but I remember going to a cocktail party on board a submarine in Valetta harbour just ten days before DD was born and only just fitting in the conning tower to board. But I loved Gibraltar, particularly St Michael's Cave (I think that was the name) and the gallery of gun emplacements carved into the Rock. Happy Birthday for yesterday - what a wonderful way to spend it!
And Happy Birthday today Llfl.
This past weekend for me has been one of phone calls and WhatsApps - particularly with my 'little' cousin, who is 80 next week. I just can't believe that - she'll always be my little cousin to me!! Anyway, I'm certainly well caught up with family doings, which is lovely.
Have a good day everyone and make the most of any sunshine you see 🦋☀️🦋

Morning from a cloudy, cool S Hants, light rain due soon. Watched an exciting football match on TV yesterday and pottered in the garden, a cool wind.
Online consult to surgery has just gone in for MrJ, in fact, they’ve just called back.
Voluntary phones today and quiz for me tonight.

Good morning from a grey and cool NE.
Yesterday I went online and booked my covid booster, I chose next Sunday at 2pm because it has to fit in with when family can take me.
Voting forms came the other day so I filled them in and walked to the postbox, it had been sunny all day but started to rain when I left the house.
Quiet day today, nothing planned.

monk08 Mon 22-Apr-24 08:54:38

Good morning all from a wet Black country.
Yesterday was lovely and sunny but a cold wind, managed to get lawn cut ready for garden collection later this week.
Started going through old paperwork will carry on with that today, sounds daft but I find shredding paperwork very therapeutic.
Hope all medical appointments go well, safe travels those on the move.
Still no Mizuna.
Have the best day you can everyone ☀️.

Good morning from Sefton. It is damp & dreary this morning . More light rain forecast for later.
A pottering day yesterday, soup making in the morning & mostly in the garden in the afternoon. I had a few hours with my book in my very small summerhouse. Just enough room for my lounger & a table.
Singing this morning & a tidy up this afternoon. There is always ironing.
Hoping today is kind to you all.

Gingster Mon 22-Apr-24 08:25:23

Good morning all .

Yesterday little DGD and I made chocolate chip muffins but they disappointingly turned out quite dry. Don’t know why! Still they’re ok with a little butter and jam. She enjoyed making them - that’s the main thing.

Not much on today , we might go to RHS Hyde Hall for a coffee and a wander. Or we might go to the Hanningfield Reservoir to see the bluebells and have a coffee in the waterside cafe .

Hope all medical appointments go well and those with coughs improve.

Take it easy 🌸

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Chilly and dull.

Art appreciation group this morning. We are going to the Andy Warhol tapestries!
I didn't know he sewed grin

I was at an 80th birthday party yesterday. He's a Scottish folk singer and he and many of his musician friends performed ceilidh style. It was very nice.

Wishing you all well, especially those with hospital appointments.

Marydoll I muddle dates all the time but I hope you'll enjoy your birthday.

Liberty Mon 22-Apr-24 08:01:52

Good morning from a lovely sunny Suffolk,so welcome after the last few grey days. It is still chilly though at 9 degrees.

I’m meeting a friend for lunch, the one I went with to Eastbourne on our great bargain break together and then later in the afternoon,I’m having my COVID jab. I think this must be at least my 7th.

I hope today is a good one for all

Oopsadaisy1 Mon 22-Apr-24 07:53:18

Good morning from a very cold and cloudy Oxfordshire, we’ve had rain overnight so it’s wet too.

Dog is here, not very happy that all paths that lead to the back fence (and next doors dogs) have been blocked. But she still sat in the garden all day in the sun, keeping an eye open for the rabbits, she can still get to that part of the garden, so she isn’t too bored.
Lots going on today so I had better shift myself and get started.

Have a good day everyone, good luck with hospital appointments and all those who are travelling, have a good time.

Georgesgran Mon 22-Apr-24 07:50:10

Good morning from Durham. It looks set for a dull, grey day.
Hair cut yesterday - long story, but it meant I was out all day. Dropped my phone in the loo at bedtime! It seems ok, although it did open up in Japanese!! Just as well I’m due another.
I have coffee with a couple of friends this morning, then some admin and a long email to do.
Hope any health appointments go to plan.
Best wishes to all.X

Whitewavemark2 Mon 22-Apr-24 07:38:09

Good morning from a sunny but decidedly chilly South Downs . No rain forecast but dull weather and still that biting wind. I knew that as soon as I’d changed the duvet for the summer one it would get colder. Max. 10c today😮.

Still struggling with DHs back so will do some upstairs housework today and possibly in the garden if it isn’t too unpleasant.

Had hoped to go to Arundel to see the late tulips this week sometime but with DHs back and also my sister had been and said the winds and rain had spoiled a lot of the display, so will give it a miss this year.

Have a good day all.

Peace and harmony to the world.

NannyJan53 Mon 22-Apr-24 07:36:42

Good morning from a dull and cloudy Black Country, where it rained overnight.

Such a lovely sunny day yesterday. DD and DGD2 came over in the afternoon with Mum. We had a lovely lamb meal. DGD is getting prepared for her GCSE's!

Walking group this morning then Line Dancing this afternoon with my friend.

My Niece did a brilliant time in the Marathon yesterday. 3 hours and 59 minutes. She wanted to do sub 4 hours, so she was very pleased. Not bad considering the most she has run in training was 20 miles.

Wishing you all the best day possible.

luluaugust Mon 22-Apr-24 07:33:34

Good morning from a sunny but cold W Kent. Cleaner this morning, hope she can work round the packing and washing going on.
DD2 is 50 today, we are hoping to see her later this afternoon.
All the best to those with medical appointments.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 22-Apr-24 07:31:33

Morning all from a sunny but cold S E Essex, oh I wish the wind would stop here also.

Off to the gym first thing, then I have to go to the local retail park to pick up a parcel from M & S Food Hall, of course I shall browse… This afternoon I have an appoint, ent with the back lady, hopefully it’s the last session.

Your cruise sounds idyllic BlueSapphire , I hope all the medical appointments go well today.

We’ve got DGS here, so the school run first thing and then back home to do some housework and gardening - well fence painting really
That’s easily done marydoll, I’m finding these days I’m double and checking dates on online calendars. I’m sure your Dil will understand and hope she can sort out other arrangements
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Bonnybanko Mon 22-Apr-24 07:27:21

Good morning Michael and all others, hope you get on alright with your eye specialist today.

It’s dry outside here on the east coast of Fife but thankfully the weathers warming up according to my garden plants,

Alygran Mon 22-Apr-24 07:21:27

Good morning from North Yorkshire. It’s raining.
On one hand I am pleased as I put a feed on the lawns yesterday, on the other I’m less pleased as it’s walking group in Richmond this morning.
After that I must do some cleaning now all the outside building work is done. Dust needs sorting!
Hope the medical appointments go well.
Have a good day everyone.

Bellasnana Mon 22-Apr-24 07:18:00

Good morning from Malta where the weather is fine with a high of 20°C forecast.

BlueSapphire how long will you be in Malta? It would be lovely to meet if you are free in the afternoon. I’m tied up with the boys in the morning.

Good luck with the hospital appointments Mick and Ash. Hope all goes well.

I’m with the boys. They had a lovely day in Gozo yesterday where they were able to ride ponies. Today will be a boring day with Nana!😄

Wishing you all a good day.☀️

Good morning from sunny but cold Colchester. I could do with a drop in the chilly wind too.
Local opinion meeting in the Castle this morning. We're discussing street cleaning. No doubt the topic of bins will raise it's contentious head.
Supermarket this afternoon as the larder is bare.
Love to all 🦩 x
