I was surprised when Tindall was proposed as “Patron” he’s never been high profile certainly not a figurehead.
I understand Invictus being very uncomfortable with controversial celebrities involve with the organization, so Harry will quite likely be edged out.

I agree, Harry knows what it is to serve, even if he escaped physical-injury free. He knows the 'brotherhood' of comrades, but Invictus is in danger of being reduced to an Oscar-like performance, at least at any 'opening ceremonies'. It should be 100% about the veterans taking part, the rest is just pointless window dressing.

I think Harry, as a veteran, needs to continue with the Invictus Games as his solo venture.

Callistemon wash your mouth out! The veterans don't matter, nobody matters except Harry and Meghan. And if Meghan can't walk at the head of the parade then she's not walking at all. Lots of the veterans are missing limbs, need wheelchairs and the like you say? If you will bring in these meaningless diversions........

There is absolutely no evidence that Mike Tindall has or is to be offered any position. He might be an ambassador lots of sports people have been. It's press speculation and social media hype.

Perhaps Mike Tindall not being so "known" worldwide as H&M would be a distinct advantage, concentrate on the athletes not a stepped-down Prince and his ex-actress wife

She did, and added they just happen to have the Queen as their Grandma. Which makes them part of the Royal Family, even though Anne wanted them to have a normal childhood without the burden of titles. Harry and Meghan were determined their children should have Royal titles even though they profess to want a normal childhood away from the glare of being a part of the Royal Family. No intention of carrying out any Royal duties but want the titles. Strange that.

The Invictus Games would have a great ambassador in Mike Tindall. Last year was really cringe time, Megan made a speech explaining why she was late arriving at the games, she was tending her children, getting milk shakes and taking one to school.

I have long admired the Countess and her husband who have quietly got on with their lives together. I found her visit to Ukraine heartening not least for the smile on Mr Zelenskii's face. Even her lovely dress quietly and tastefully reflected acknowledgment of Ukranian National costume.

I doubt Mike Tindall will ever make it to the top of the Invictus Games. He may be well known for rugby and marrying royalty in the UK, but numerous countries will just go "Who?" when his name is mentioned. But Prince Harry and Meghan are internationally known.

I find all this "She should have known about her Nigerian heritage" quite amusing. Why? If she was, as some say, passing as "Caucasian" until recently (and let's face facts discrimination against black actresses was very common when she started out) why would she explore that side? As for the 47% , there is possibly some Nigerian heritage on the Markle side as well.

I hope the couple continue to support the Invictus games which is Harry's charity for his service colleagues (Has Mike Tindall ever served in the forces?) and have a lovely visit to Nigeria.

Mike Tindall, a man with integrity and sporting honour. Loved by our late Queen, not causing her any distress when she was seriously ill and dying. A much worthy recipient to take forward the Invictus Games,.

Me neither, but if anyone wants to do the comparisons stuff, the empathy shown by King Charles today on his visit to a cancer treatment unit at UCHL said it all. An understanding holding of hands, a sharing of experiences, a smile - no need to be youthful or energetic, quite the opposite in fact - but what a heartfelt connection, and an uplifting experience for all.
Not forgetting Camilla listening quietly, no fuss, to the relatives of those having chemotherapy.

I was going to say the same.It was lovely to see him holding hands and smiling while engaging with cancer patients, and I can’t see the late Queen doing any of that, so well done to Charles.

How do you know 'One visit to a country does nothing for those living in war zones' ?
How do you know what she saw, whom she spoke to, and more importantly, what organisations she will be in contact with when she returns?
One thing I do know, from working for an organisation she once visited, is that she will be well-briefed, will listen intently and will follow up concerns raised to the best of her ability.

What she won't do is use it to publicise money-making ventures for her own benefit.
