Good morning Michael and all GNs. A grey South Yorkshire day but yesterday allowed me to get a lot of work done in the garden, including cutting the back lawn, which I usually leave to the gardener. I was surprised this morning to actually be able to get out of bed! Today will be quieter - some much needed housework this morning and then a volunteer session this afternoon.
Enjoy your cruise, Ash - I’ve always fancied a trip to Orkney.
Have the best day you can folks.

Good morning from Malta where it is a bit overcast but going to be hot.

I’m with the boys. One of them just threw his cup on the floor, the lid popped off and it’s amazing how far a cup of water can spread!

They have an appointment with the speech therapist this morning so I will be going with DD3 to help out.

Having my nails done this afternoon. I completely forgot to go for my last appointment so feel very guilty and will have to pay twice as it was my fault.

Love the tutus GM, you are so multi talented.🤩

Wishing you all a good day.☀️

Good morning from damp s somerset, it is going to be a lovely warm day

Beautiful tutus GM, I can only imagine you being surrounded by clouds of net. The children will be so happy

A very beautiful drive yesterday, everywhere is so lush and green. I was quite tired when I got back but did not do much for the rest of the day

Not much today either, reading is on the cards and I will subtract the winter additions from my bed. I will start to de-bobble and wash woollen jumpers to stash away for next winter. Two at a time so they can dry flat

Have a good day

I’m not looking forward to trying to sort out the summerhouse debacle on the phone this morning……..😵‍💫

RosesandLilac Tue 07-May-24 06:50:20

Good morning from south Glos, it’s a murky, damp morning here but sunshine is forecast for later.
Yesterday I started on refreshing my garden pots, weeding and topping them up. I have too many so today I plan to sort more out by finding places in the border where I can transplant the contents.
Dd went home early afternoon so I tidied up and vacuumed through.
Enjoy your day 🌹

Good morning all and it’s bright and sunny after yesterday’s rain. I sat in the conservatory reading for most of the afternoon, listening to the rain. Quite cosy really.

Today I’m off to Knole country house and gardens with the U3A. Hopefully we should be lucky with the weather.🤞.

Enjoy your cruise Ash
Nice to get some sun and relaxation Oops
I hope the Bay ion Biscay isn’t too rough Bluesapphire

Take care all 🌸

Good morning all fromva cloudy North Leicestershire.

Today I really must hang the new curtains in the children's room and nip to Waitrose. My main priority, though, is to talk to Sky! The SkyQ box in the kitchen only works if the one in the playroom is switched off which results in lots of bad language. blush

Good morning from Lancashire. It's overcast at the moment but sunshine is forecast for later.
Warm weather is a mixed bag for me. It's so nice to wear the minimum of clothing and not have the heating on, but I get over-heated if I go out.

Morning everyone.GMattie perhaps you should contact the Sunday Times There is someone who chases these things up.
Also perhaps Money Box on the BBC.
The Tutus are lovely.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from North Wales.A dry day forecast.

I have had a sleepless night but passed the time tracking DD’s flight. They landed at 3.45 and are now two hours from home🥳We will miss M and H but looking forward to getting home and sitting in the conservatory this afternoon reading although I will probably fall asleep pretty quickly.

The tutus are lovely grandMattie.I remember having to edge one with silver thread for DD.A lot of fabric in a tutu🤦🏼‍♀️

Enjoy your cruise Ash and olddudders.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Good morning from Spain, the sun is just up and it looks to be a sunny day. Storms yesterday evening I love a good thunderstorm.

MrOops still isn’t so good so we had a quick dash to Aldi to get some basics in, we might chance a restaurant tonight or I might cook something bland for him.

It’s no hardship staying ‘home’ we have the pool, a good supply of books and can sit out in the garden, plenty of places to sit in the shade or full sun, I’m mostly in the shade, MrOops likes the sun.

GM those tutus are fabulous, you have skill and patience.
Ash have a Lovely cruise.

The photo is part of the garden.

Have a good day everyone, hope the weather is picking up.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 11° and cloudy. GrandMattie the tutus are lovely. Such a lot of work! Ashcombe enjoy your cruise.
Yesterday I was quite lazy without the usual childcare, but I enjoyed doing nothing. I had intended to garden but the number of slugs and snails put me off. I have a phobia of them.
Today I'll do the usual nursery drop off then pick up and have dgs2. I'm not sure what we'll get up to but it will involve cars and toy food-his latest thing. Have a good day all.

Good morning everyone from Adventure, still sailing up the west coast of Portugal, and approaching the.Bay of Biscay.
A bit of a lazy day yesterday,, packed one suitcase in the morning, and seemed to spend the rest of the time reading, eating or drinking! Was too windy to spend much time on deck
Still in bed at the moment, but need to make a move shortly as I have a manicure appointment this morning.
Last formal night tonight, so will be wearing black velvet trousers and a good sparkly top.

Hope you enjoy your cruise Ash!

grandMattie Tue 07-May-24 06:13:41

Bon voyage to you and oldd, Ash. I hope the weather holds for you. Orkney is fascinating and I imagine the Shetland is too.

Ashcombe Tue 07-May-24 06:00:56

Good morning from a bright and sunny Torbay.

DH arrived safely yesterday and earlier than expected! We’re off to Southampton today to join a week long Fred Olsen cruise on Borealis, visiting Belfast, Stornaway and Lerwick. A change of ship for us as we usually travel on Balmoral and our first ever British cruise.

Those tutus are beautiful, grandMattie. Such talent! I hope the ombudsman is helpful.

I may be offline some mornings but will be thinking of you all. 🦩🥰🦩💐

Georgesgran Tue 07-May-24 05:52:22

Good morning from Durham - a cloudy start, but no rain forecast. I’m not getting up yet.
A boring day, as I await a visit from Octopus. My patience is wearing thin, so I hope it’s all done and dusted today.
gM those tutus are lovely. A friend’s teacher son once asked her to make 24 togas overnight!!! Didn’t realize you could get 4 out of a double sheet, but she had no time to decorate them!
Best wishes to all. X

grandMattie Tue 07-May-24 05:41:53

Good morning from an overcast Bristol. No rain though…
A very quiet day yesterday which was spent decorating the tutus. If you zoom in, you will see the sparkly top bit. The house is full of these invisible sequins dropping off everywhere. I finished sewing in the late afternoon and am pleased with the results. I had been given insufficient and/or inadequate stuff, so had to be inventive.
Outdoor tai chi this morning, then I’ll probably go back to the quilt I’m making.
If I haven’t heard from the bank, I shall have to contact the financial ombudsman. This is dragging on and on and is very wearing.
Trust this week will be uneventful. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Georgesgran Tue 07-May-24 05:37:55

Bonnybanko you’ve posted your plans for today on yesterday’s thread. X

Good Morning Everyone,
A bright and dry start to the day here in brackley this morning.
Back into my usual routine of things such as getting the bus to Bicester for a couple of hours and meet up with some I know.
And an afternoon doing the coach potato thing with Giro D,Italia on TV.
Take Care,
Mick
