The main difference seems to be the concern that Harry would be collecting information for a future episode of his memoirs.

My late ex was a Labour supporter - but also a staunch Royalist. Of course, there are some who would say one can't be both. My best friend - who is very much of the 'set' one would expect to be a Royalist - isn't.

Royalty and the Aristocracy don't by default have impeccable taste - nor necessarily the figure for it.

I find it comforting in a way that they can, like the rest of us, look quite unexciting in their dress.

Humanity? That's a laugh. He had precious little humanity for his old school house mistress that he cruelly and publicly mocked for the way she walked. He had even less humanity for his first lover when he described their sexual encounter is such detail that she was easily identified within hours of his book's publication. He showed zero humanity towards his fellow serving soldiers, when he bragged about keeping score of how many he'd killed on active duty, despite knowing he'd put a target on their backs. He's a walking disaster.

Some appear to think that 'Lefties' are by default anti-Monarchy - or, indeed, that there's a definite dividing line between Royalists and Republicans.

I'm torn between the two. The late Queen having been a 'backdrop' to most of my life, has been a bit like watching a tree in your garden grow from a sapling to a sturdy oak - whatever the weather, it's always there which is 'comforting' though of course it makes no logical sense.

Funny how those who support Harry become targets as well. The Spencers simply turned up for a service that really should have been recognised by our RF but wasn't because of a family spat. That's petty.
