Good Morning Everyone,
I daylight bright and dry with fog at the moment here in brackley this morning.
My usual Bicester on the bus to do some shopping and to socialise with those I know .
With the afternoon with the Giro on TV , I have been looking into health situ as its just under 12 months since surgery ,and it seems having more fibre related food ,and not so much alcoholic drink will help things .
Take Care ,
Mick

Morning Mick, morning All. Mist is coming and going, it seems some sun ahead for our corner of Somerset

Enjoyed a sit on the sea front yesterday plus a stroll between benches. My idea of a walk at the moment. Mr C did some planting while saying it was guaranteed death for the plants. He has a reputation to uphold.

I seem to be a year older today. Fairly quiet day. Family gathering at the weekend. We’re heading for a garden centre for more plants this afternoon, a scan for Mr C first after a light lunch with cake

Thoughts go to all poorly folk and those with worries. Hope Wednesday is kind to us all.

Good morning from a cloudy but hopefully brightening Suffolk.

Keep fit in just over an hour so I had better get moving. Every time I go into a spare bedroom I’m met by a huge pile of ironing on the bed. It’s so tall that a few items toppled over yesterday. Although it is one of my least favourite jobs I don’t think I can ignore it any longer.

That’s my morning sorted after my class. I feel if I do it,I will have earned an afternoon in the garden. Hope all have a good day, especially those with worries or ill health.

Good morning from North Yorkshire. It’s misty here but a warmer day is forecast.
Off to make the coffee at the parent group today. We have a regular ‘calm crafts’ activity, making scented fabric flowers.
I have a board meeting later about the dissolution of the charity. We are in discussion for someone to absorb the work from 2025.
This evening it’s the village film club. I’ll see if I have any energy left!
Wishing you all a good day.

Good morning everyone from Severnside. The mist has cleared a little.

Good morning from Durham. A cloudy but warm day ahead.
Octopus man arrived at noon yesterday, so a bit of a wasted morning, but met a friend in the afternoon.
Today, I’m meeting a friend later, then off to DD2’s to pick up Little Dog and laundry. I’ll see both DGSs and walk the dog on my way home.
🎂Corner
Best wishes to all. X

Very misty but think we are due a dry day - at last! Coffee with a friend and then singing this afternoon so a nice day ahead. Just wish I had more energy and enthusiasm but fear those days seem to have gone. Any advice welcome.

Have much enjoyed Blue Sapphire’s cruise and look forward to hearing what other travellers are up to. Now I can’t be bothered to travel I enjoy vicarious adventures instead.

A housework day today and OH will visit his bees. He’s worried about them!
Local history society this evening.
Sorry I’m not more animated but my heart is heavy.

Good morning Mick and everyone from a rather grey Carlisle.

It was a long time before I got to sleep last night, I was too giddy and nauseous and eventually got up and took antihistamines. I've been waiting for the surgery to get back to me and now they have, so it's off to see one of the nurses later this morning. I think I need antibiotics but whether I'll get any...
I know I shouldn't moan after reading your post Marydoll. I hope that medication works better than you fear. Good luck!

I'm going to make a start on the ironing, I do so hate laying about. Other than that, I shall continue with a new book. It's like a brand new copy, probably only carefully read once. I paid £1.99 for it in the charity shop not the £8.99 on the back cover. Which makes it a more pleasurable read!

Enjoy that trip Ashcombe, an interesting itinerary.

And have a good day all.

EkwaNimitee Wed 08-May-24 08:56:39

And Happy Birthday cornergran !

Good morning all. A year Mick! That's wonderful, and it sounds as if you're on top of what is necessary in lifestyle and diet. Keep up the good work.
Well according to my weather app it's a day of intermittent sunshine here on the Angus coast. The first hour of it has passed without any sign of the sun, so we'll see. The washing's in the machine anyway - it will dry at some point I'm sure.
I'm really quite enjoying getting ready for my unexpected hosting duties for the tai chi workshop next weekend, would you believe! What's missing from my life is something to work towards and usually I just drift along in an amiable and contented fashion, achieving nothing. But as is the way of things, this week is going to be particularly hectic as I also have Dancing GD's Degree Shows to go to tonight and tomorrow night in Dundee. And, just like that, her College days are over! We'll have to wait and see what follows. And this week also, on Saturday, I've said I'll meet DGD3 (also in Dundee) as she's having a small discreet (🤞) tattoo done in memory of her Daddy, who died eight years next month and who would have been 50 in July. Anyway, it's all happening at once!
So off I must trot. I shall pop back in at some point to hear all about the various holidays and trips and cruises.
Bellasnana that's often the way with twins - one dominant and the other content to follow.
Also, what an utter tragedy, the killing of your DGD's friend's parents. Why on earth do the Americans insist that having guns is their 'right'. A gun has only ultimately one purpose, and that's it.
Get well soon grammaretto and baubles flowers

Good morning Mick and all from cloudy Lancashire, currently 14°C.

We managed to get out for a walk yesterday afternoon. I think today will be housework and gardening.

Wishing you all a good day 🌻

harrigran Wed 08-May-24 09:08:00

Good morning from a sunny and mild NE.
The concert at GD's school was lovely, there are some very talented musicians. GD wasn't playing the piano this time but her choir sang three songs, one in Spanish, one in Latin and finished with what a wonderful world.
Today I need to do more preparation for my holiday and try and get on top of this scratchy throat and cough.
Have a good day everyone.
