Good Morning Everyone,
A blue sky with some cloud but dry here in brackley this morning.
Yesterday felt a little rough so returned early from Bicester , today a similar outing but hopefully stay normal time there as I look forward to having a coffee and a chat with friends .
On the health front variable , changes in weather maybe a small cause , where I see happy in cooler but dry conditions .
Take Care,
Mick

I love reading about your Fife travels Marydoll
Funny but yesterday the other granny DDs MiL told me she was in a pub in Fife and got talking to a couple. When they asked where she was from, they asked if she knew me.
For a moment I thought it was you MD!!
DH and I went to Ruby Bay at Elie for our Ruby wedding anniversary to collect rubies on the beach.
Ah the memories. Thanks for them.

Yesterday’s covid jab has meant that a very sore arm kept waking me up and I am good for nothing much this morning. Not had that particular reaction before but guess it is a small price to pay for protection from the new iteration of this plague. Reading and dozing are today’s plans, I think.

Good to read of successful trips, plants being purchased and GC being enjoyable. Sorry about the summer house and agree that a public complaint is the way to go after such an expensive fiasco.

Marydoll, nine years ago my sister in law and I were in Fife and I’ve looked back at photos and we were in Anstruther and Craill and Eilie. Such a beautiful coast. In fact we had lunch at the golf club in Eilie, ( our host was an avid golfer). Thanks for reminding me of a lovely day.

Good morning Mick and all from sunny Lancashire, currently 16°C.

Today the car will have its first MOT and I have a review meeting with my financial advisor.

Have a good day all, whatever you’re doing 🌻

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside 16°northwest coast.
Had my covid jab yesterday and as per usual, felt odd after it but took a pile of stuff to the charity shop, although it never seems to make a dent in my clutter.. Came home and dropped off to sleep. Feel ok today.

BIL in the south is having his heart op today and my sister has cancelled her trip up here next week and the family holiday abroad with us next month, which is disappointing, but unavoidable. She is getting a kitten in the next few days, which will cheer her up.
I will fix up holiday insurance etc today and enjoy some sunshine.

Hope you feel better Mick and so sorry your summerhouse has caused you grief RosesandLilac

Good morning everyone from a dry and slightly overcast East Northants, where I have stayed overnight at DD's.

We had a lovely wine club evening, tasting South African Chenin Blancs, accompanied by delicious food.

Shall be going back home shortly, where I shall have a lazy day, and not do a lot except read!

Would have been DH's birthday today, he would have been 81. Happy memories tinged with sadness.....

Hope Thursday is kind to all.

Good morning everyone from sunny Severnside.

I’m off to do the weekly shop this morning. When I come home I’ve some clean washing to sort and maybe do some ironing. Two jobs I don’t like are putting away shopping and ironing but I have made myself a helpful system.

Have a good day all 🪻

Good morning all from an overcast Black country.
Yesterday's meet up with was brothers was very enjoyable, one of my nephews also came he had a day of work and said he wanted to see his auntie.
While waiting for them I had a wander around the shops and 3 tops just happened to have found a new home.
Local shops today and then we have another carvery booked so no cooking yippee.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

Good morning from a not particularly nice day in Wiltshire. Hospital appointment this afternoon.

We had DGS2 yesterday as on Tuesday he was still poorly from scarlet fever and wasn’t much improved but DD2 had important work meetings. He was in quite a good mood but did not want to venture out and was rather listless. We dropped him back at 3pm and then picked his sister up from school at 3:30 and dropped her back at 6:30.

Belated birthday greetings Marydoll. You will need a well-earned rest this weekend GrandmaBatty. I couldn’t do all that childcare. I hope you had a lovely time with your GS on his 8th birthday. What a lovely note he wrote. Rosesand Lilac I’m sorry you are disappointed with your greenhouse after all the grief you’ve been put through.

Posting and dashing, it’s raining and I have to walk down and meet the 9yr old half way on his solo walk to school. The Imp has D & V and not moving from the bathroom 🤮
Will catch up later 🙋‍♀️

Good morning from a grey and rainy day in Suffolk after a similar day yesterday. Come back summer, please!

Off to my stretch class shortly and then a quiet afternoon at home. The rest of the week and weekend will be very busy so I’ll make the most of the rest today.

Thinking of those with worries and hoping today is a positive one for all.

Good morning from dull South Lanarkshire, hopefully the sun will break through later.

Hope you have a better day Mick.

Yesterday was very pleasant. DH and I visited a couple of nurseries and came home laden with plants for our baskets.

Last night we watched DGD in the semi finals of the Netball All
Star National Competition. Her team didn’t win but it was a fantastic match, very exciting and a great experience for her. The match took place in Glasgow University Sports Building which was a step up from the usual school halls.

Our next door neighbours are moving out today, they’re a good, quiet, helpful young couple so I’m hoping the new person isn’t a party animal. grin

Baskets to be planted and yarn group this evening.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning Mick and All from a grey South Bucks.

My DGS finishes his SATS too today. His school has been so supportive as he has health problems at present and they have done everything to support him.

Quite excited as our riverside town has a Pub in the Park event and we have tickets for the first night tonight and Van Morrison is headlining 👍. The organisers have agreed I can bring a shooting stick to sit on as I can’t stand for 2 hours. 💃

Susan56 Thu 16-May-24 08:06:33

Lovely Marydoll👌🏻Glad you are managing and having such a lovely break.

Marydoll Thu 16-May-24 07:49:59

Some of my resting spots.

Good morning from Shropshire.A bright start but rain forecast later.

Another day at home today.Yesterday wasn’t as relaxing as I had hoped with calls to the pharmacy and surgery who had both made a mistake with my monthly prescription. All sorted then my mum’s GP phoned. An expected but emotional phone call😢Today will hopefully be the relaxing day I had hoped for yesterday.

I hope the childcare goes well today Grandmabatty and Bellasnana and that it isn’t too exhausting.

Safe travels to your family Grammaretto.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Good morning from a bright, but increasingly cloudy Black Country.

Yesterday afternoon, spent a couple of hours tidying up the front of the house, weeding and cutting back and tidying up the drive.

Long walk this morning with my Thursday group, then onto Mums to take her for a Covid jab. Then off for lunch at her local. I think rain is forecast this afternoon. Such a lovely hot sunny afternoon yesterday.

I too think you should leave a review R & L perhaps on their FB page or wherever the company have an online presence?

Wishing you all the best day possible

Gingster Thu 16-May-24 07:40:31

Good morning all and we’re due to have rain here in Essex.

Yesterday I went to church , got there early and wondered why I was the only one around. Sat and ruminated in the peace and then realised I was caught up in a funeral. I discreetly made my way out. 🫢.
I bought a box of 12 geraniums for £5 in the market. They look healthy so fingers crossed they’ll be gooduns. Think we’ll put them into hanging baskets.

Today I have bowls club and then on to Sainsbury to stock up.,we seem to be running low on essentials.

I’m glad your summerhouse is up Roseandlilac. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it when you have it the way you want it.

Oh dear Llf those bees seem to be very troublesome.🐝.

Safe journey home Oops.

Take care all 🌸

Grammaretto Thu 16-May-24 07:33:50

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. A cold damp foggy start. Yesterday began the same but later I sat outside in the sunshine.

I hope you remember to drink plenty of water Michael.

I'm glad your summer house is finally up Roses

My NZ family are in the air on the start of a long journey adventure which will bring them here sometime next month. I'm planning a small family party/welcome for while they are here.

Hope the day goes well.

cornergran Thu 16-May-24 07:33:35

Morning Mick, morning All. Our corner of Somerset is bright, some blue sky. Rain forecast this afternoon.

Yesterdays wanderings took us further than I had anticipated, enjoyable if tiring. Some outside tidying this morning before we hide from the rain later.

What a kerfuffle roses. Nearly there now. Hope today goes well for those caring, those travelling and Thursday is kind to us all.

Pittcity Thu 16-May-24 07:32:57

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. A damp day forecast.
Thursday is usually laundry day but I may leave it until tomorrow when I should be able to dry outside.
I have deliveries to wait in for today so may be a couch potato unless they send an eta.
Love to all 🦩 x

harrigran Thu 16-May-24 07:32:13

Good morning from an overcast Derbyshire.
Yesterday DD and SIL went out walking and got caught in a storm during the afternoon. I stayed in the cottage with my book and rested as I am still suffering from the virus.
Forecast is for heavy rain again so will try and find something to do indoors.

luluaugust Thu 16-May-24 07:30:48

Good morning from an overcast W Kent. Yesterday’s outing to meet up with a potential new U3A art group was interesting. The meeting was at a local garden centre and to start with I couldn’t find anything that looked like a group meeting. Having chatted to half the cafe I was eventually approached by one of the staff who obviously thought I was odd. A bewildered chap was also wandering around. Eventually we found four other ladies and sat down to sort ourselves out. Arrangements got bade to meet once a month. I have a feeling, as so often now, that I am the oldest one in the group. Today for a change I shall attend my usual little art group where I am the youngest. DH has an appointment this afternoon for cataract check up so I guess we shall both be tired by this evening.
Best wishes to all
