Good Morning Everyone,
Another dry and bright start to the day here in brackley this morning.
A day of watching cycling on TV, but I have found the warmer weather is also having an effect on my symptoms,as to the bowel problem , considering it is just under 12 months to when I had the surgery done , i am going to update the nursing team as to how things are .
Take Care,
Mick

Morning Mick, morning All from a sunny corner of Somerset

An odd afternoon yesterday. We’d wandered to a garden centre about 8 miles away and were sitting with a cuppa and a cake when there was torrential rain, thunder and lightning. It went on for what seemed forever. Emerging into light rain we headed home in more torrential rain to find it was bone dry here although we were told the sea front had been drenched. All very odd.

Quiet one ahead here. Some replacement garden lights to install. A hair cut for Mr C, maybe a little ironing and a lot of sitting in the garden.

Wishing you the best birthday ash. Although we’ve not been to Cockington for years there are many happy memories of it. Sounds as if a rest is in order greyd. Look after your knee beechnut. Enjoy your family time bahbles. I’d also not welcome that many bees in the garden ladylfl. Allergic to their stings. You’ll get there with the summerhouse roses. It will be worth it. Take it easy mick. Sensible to contact the nursing team.

Hope Sunday is kind to us all.

Special service for Pentecost in one of our lovely churches but with a 9.30 am start so must rush. Forecast is lovely so a bit of outdoor pottering, I think. Hope things improve, Glammagran - what a shock.

luluaugust Sun 19-May-24 08:09:50

Good morning from a brightening W Kent. Happy Birthday Ash
We enjoyed our afternoon with DS and DIL, lots of chat and a beautiful garden to walk round and discuss all in the sunshine.
Today, roast lunch and hopefully a short walk at some point.
Best wishes to all

Good morning all from a lovely sunny Black country.
I've found a wash load so will put that out once its finished.
Front lawn needs a cut so that's this mornings job, then relax with a cool drink and my book in the garden.
Happy birthday Ash have a great day 🎉🎁🎂🍷.
glammagran what a shock so glad they came out of it relatively unscathed, cars can be replaced people cannot.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

Jaxjacky Sun 19-May-24 08:19:23

Many happy returns of the day to you Ashcombe! 🎉

Good morning from North Yorkshire. No sunshine yet!
Happy birthday Ash
Glammagran 💐
A friend is calling for coffee this morning. There is no Church service in the village this week.
Then it’s Sunday Lunch Club, after which I shall be putting my feet up.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from a bright and sunny Essex coast.

Awards day at the Rugby club today. I am selling raffle tickets later. At least the weather is kind and it won't be muddy.

Happy Birthday Ash, have a lovely day. glammagran, what a shock, I'm pleased your family are ok.

Best wishes to all, have a lovely Sunday xxx

Grammaretto Sun 19-May-24 08:30:56

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders.
Another dull start but will be hot later.
Yesterday's filming went well, though there were very many "takes". A bride- to- be sings and dances with her friends down the street while we passers by stop her to press coins into her potty full of salt. A local custom apparently.
A tiny child stole the show!

Happy birthday Ash. Enjoy your day and Baubles. That sounds a perfect day. I haven't had all the DGC together since 2018.

The littlest have been camping in their garden trying out their new tent. They look so happy in the pictures but there were lightning storms last night.....

I hope everyone finds some joy today.

grandMattie Sun 19-May-24 08:48:54

Prayers will be offered this morning for your family, after a miraculous escape in theRTA🫂

Good morning from an overcast NE.
Happy Birthday Ashcombe, hope you have a lovely day.

Yesterday I did a covid test and there was still a faint red line, two full weeks and still feeling grotty.
No visitors today, I am going to take it easy and finish my book.

aggie Sun 19-May-24 09:20:33

Good Morning from a dull , but not cold, Co Armagh

Yesterday I was repotting , moving plants , and generally gardening , bit stiff , but the patio looks great

Good morning everyone from a very bright and sunny 🌞Northampton. Listening to Tony Blackburn 's Sounds of the Sixties from yesterday on Alexa. Will be watching the service on tv this morning as it's from Northampton's beautiful town centre church, designed by Christopher Wren after the great fire of Northampton. And looking to see if there's anyone I know in the congregation!

After shopping yesterday I sat in the garden and tried to read.more of my book - 'The God of Small Things' - I am finding it extremely hard going and not enjoying it and would have given up on it by now,.were it not for book club.

That's the plan for this afternoon as well! And shall sit in the garden, look at the weeds and wait for the gardener to come on Wednesday and remove them!

Need to contact a plumber this week to come and look at the built in loo in the bathroom - the flush is playing up again and is unusable at the moment - beginning to wish we'd never opted for a fitted one, as they are a devil to get at when they go wrong.

Lamb chops and mint sauce for dinner tonight.

Glammagran what a terrible accident to happen to your family. Thank goodness they escaped serious injury. flowers

May the sun shine on all today.

luluaugust Sun 19-May-24 09:27:14

Glammagran so sorry to read about the accident flowers

Gingster Sun 19-May-24 09:32:40

Good morning from a sunny Essex.

Glammagran what a sock for you all. Thank goodness they are both ok.🙏.

Yesterday we had a lovely afternoon tea in aid of cancer research .DD came and had a jolly time with old friends . Everyone was so friendly and a pianist played the whole time. We couldn’t really hear him as there was so much chatter.
They made £1,400 .

Today we’ll do some more weeding (hate it). My buttocks ache from last time 😳. A tiny garden that somehow takes a lot of work. 🥵.

I’ll take Dd and little DGD for her swimming lesson and bring them back here for lunch. Cold chicken, jersey royals , salad .
Little DGD will have sausages and waffles 🙄.

Happy birthday Ash. Same year as me.
Enjoy titivating your summerhouse Roseandlilac. You will love it. 🏡.

Take care all and enjoy the sunshine ☀️.

Grandmachrisy47 Sun 19-May-24 09:51:08

Happy Birthday, Ash. 🎂🍾
Glammagran 💐 such a shock for you. Glad they’re ok.
Hope you feel better soon, Harrigran.
