I have never put a Christmas pudding in a fridge in my life. I store Christmas puddings in a kitchen cupboard, top shelf, and the one we ate at Christmas 2023 was a 2022 leftover.
Revive it with a good dose of brandy and then steam/microwave it until piping hot.
I hardly ever make mine until October at the earliest, to be eaten in December - always fine. OTOH we’d happily eat one that’s 6 or 12 months old, if not more, but they never last that long in this house. If they make it until mid January that’s about it.
Yes, as others say, it should be fine. I’ve still got one in the fridge made for last Xmas, but didn’t get around to eating it at the time (I’d made 2). It will get eaten at some point this year, probably Xmas 😁.
It will be even better by Christmas this year. I'd say May is a bit early to be eating it and you'll already be ahead with your Christmas preparations✔️
