It's awful....what an insult to an attractive lady

I can't think what the painter was looking at but it was most certainly not The Princess of Wales. Still, it ticks a few boxes for the woke brigade.

Leaving aside her elegance, charm etc this artist hasn’t even captured her physical features. But I’m sure HRH has much more to think about just now than a 3rd rate “portrait”.

How do these portrait artists become so highly thought of? The portrait of Charles was a good likeness I thought - but all that red!

I like giving them a good old insult every now and then, though.

Ghastly, hideous, horrendous and an insult to a beautiful woman. For this reason it should never have been put in the public domain. No-one should every insult the royal family. Tatler needs a major slap on the wrist for having published/commissioned it.

I wonder if Tatler picked an African artist to improve their ‘woke’ credentials as it’s such a ‘white’ niche magazine. I think the picture is awful, but I realise I haven’t really liked any portraits I’ve seen of Catherine. I think she is beautiful but her look may be elusive to capture.

It's nothing like her ...it's an insult...a child could have done better..

I just looked up the comments the artist made aftr such a condemning backlash to her work. She said that she captures the soul of the sitter! If that's the case then Kate must be pretty soul-less. Looking at some of her other work she can actually paint quite well.
