This was a non-verbal conversation I witnessed on the bus... A chap got on with a little white cockapoos type dog. He sat and looked down at her and she lifted her paw asking him if she could jump onto his lap. He nodded and she proceeded to sit on his lap (not touching the seats) gazing up at him with just the occasional glance at other passengers. No words, just a beautiful conversation between dog and owner.

I was on a bus today, the slow bus that goes through all the villages.

A woman with a buggy and loads of kids got on so people had to shift to make space for the buggy.
Her grandson, aged about 2, ran to the back and climbed on the seat behind me. He shrieked in my ear the whole way but directed to his gran who was up at the front ignoring him.

I don't usually mind other peoples kids im so glad they arent mine but he continued to yell at full volume despite me asking him to sshh and not to shout. Gran ignored him and all the kids and just looked at her phone.

No interesting conversations to listen to.

I love conversations with random strangers on public transport. People are fascinating, you learn so much and sometimes meet someone who just needs to talk.

Clawdy

When my sister was on a bus in Scotland many years ago, a little boy yelled at his mother "If you don't give me those sweeties, I'll tell everyone you pee in the sink!"
