Is the Covid booster still necessary

I am due to have my booster on Sunday. I shall have it. I don't usually have much reaction beyond a sore arm.

DFiL died from covid and DH had cancer so from March 2020 until he died in November I had to keep him safe from covid infection and out of hospital. The vaccinations weren't yet available.

His dad aged 95, had to go to hospital for his heart condition but caught covid in the ward . Nobody could visit him and he died 2 weeks after his son.

Terrible times for our family and for so many others.

Yes we've both had ours, a couple who live near us both contracted it recently and he ended up in hospital, admittedly he had a heart condition, but it's still very much around. Why wouldn't you take advantage of the vaccination if offered?

I cancelled mine. Only just started to feel well after them all and they didn’t stop me having Covid but appreciate it probably stopped complications. I will continue with annual flue jab.

Had ours on Wednesday. Moderna - which is a first.

No reaction - i drank water to keep well hydrated which i always thinks helps - well it will do no harm!

I am a firm believer in preventative medicine and think that we are so lucky now not to suffer from, polio, tetanus, TB, smallpox, measles etc etc and of course support for coronavirus’s like flu and covid.

I shall refuse all vaccinations in future.

I expect we shall both keep having ours as are both on the vulnerable list.

My doc reckons it is but I’m not so sure,either. She said we should have it every 6 months which seems a tad excessive.

Do you have the 'flu vaccination?
I think it's like that now.
