If he feels that he needs to sleep immediately then so be it. In all things be led by your husband's wishes; do not pressure him in any way to stimulate intimacy.
Should your husband suggest Congress then agree humbly all the while being mindful that a man's satisfaction is more important than a woman's. Oh boy. Hubby and I are not NEARLY so formal.
As to the waking up early, I do recall one particularly funny incident. Somehow we forgot to set the alarm, and I woke up about 20 minutes before my stepdaughter (who was at ours that day) was supposed to be at school - and of course she wasn't awake yet. I let out a foghorn shriek that woke my husband, who was all, "WHAT in the blazes HECK, WOMAN?" Once he figured out that the house was not, in fact, burning down with everyone in it 
, we got daughter up and she made it to school on time!

Mum never said anything remotely resembling that. It's a spoof not a real textbook, imo. Nuns didn't say anything so silly. I believe they wanted us to be as they were and marry The Church and Christ.
